3 reviewsThis hotel is hard to find because the address is misleading. In fact, the reception is on street level on Tiyu Street, just around the corner from Changjiang 1st road. The rooms are all on the third floor of this skyscraper. This is a great location! You are a few steps from Lianglukou Metro Station which is on the line that connects to the airport and to the main railway station. Just down the hill - by Asia's longest escalator (worth a visit in any case) - is the old railway station, serving some local routes. Lianglukou also serves line 1, which takes you to the middle of downtown, with all the ritzy shopping and some great eat streets, like Bayi Road, Tiyu Street encircles the stadium and is home to hundreds of eateries, large ones and tiny holes in the wall with tables on the footpath. You can get great food here for a pittance - if you don't speak Chinese you will have to point at what other people are eating, but that's OK - everybody is very good natured. Just down Zhongshan Road is what is called Chongqing Village - a couple of little streets with noodle bars: great for breakfast and lunch. The hotel has good coffee in its bar/restaurant, and good free wifi in the room. Our room was comfortable, air conditioned, with tea and coffee making and a fridge. We had a window, although many of the rooms are internal and windowless. There is supposed to be a coin laundry, but there isn't - there is a washing machine that looks very complicated, and no dryer. The beds were fine. The floor could have been better swept. We would happily stay there again.
