35 reviewsWe were greeted warmly by Juan Gabriel and an enthusiastic friendly dog on our arrival. Our room was on the top floor of the main house, beautifully crafted from wood with an artistic and rustic feel. The facilities were good and the bed was extremely comfortable. Juan and Constanza went out of their way to be hospitable and gave us excellent and accurate advice on local restaurants and help with planning our route and activities for the following day. (We hiked the Sendero Sierra Nevada in the Conguillo NP which was superb. Note that access on the gravel road is “challenging” even with a high wheel-base vehicle, but we had been forewarned by Juan). Breakfast in their lovely dining room was delicious and ample with the best cheese we have tasted in almost two weeks travelling in Chile! In summary, our hosts couldn’t have been kinder. We felt as if we were staying with good friends and wished we could have stayed longer.

All citizens of Chile, regardless of the duration of their stay, and all foreigners who stay in the country for at least 60 consecutive days may have to pay the national sales tax (19%) when checking out. To receive tax exemption, foreign citizens must pay for their stay upon entry in foreign currency (not Chilean pesos) or with a credit card issued abroad and present a valid passport along with the migration card they received upon entry into the country. If a person subject to paying the tax and another exempt from the same share a room, the rate may be applied to the entire room. Please inform Cabañas Newenpüllü in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Children can only be accommodated in the bungalows, not in the main establishment. Based on local tax laws, all Chilean citizens and resident foreigners must pay an additional fee (IVA) of 19%. To be exempt from this 19% additional fee (IVA) the payment must be made in US dollars and a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. The passenger won’t be exempt from this fee when paying in local currency. In case of no show the invoice will be billed in local currency, including this additional fee (IVA). This additional fee (IVA) is not included in the hotel rates and must be paid separately. |
