The Gallery House at Port Renfrew

Great spot and close to everything.  Super clean with an artistic flair in every corner. View of the beach.  Owner is a long term resident which seems to be quite rare.  Up and down condo gives peace and quiet 

Vista views and an easy walk to the beach made this clean and comfortable AirBnb an ideal location for our visit to Port Renfrew. The deck was a great spot for relaxing, the generous-sized table easily sat five, and the kitchen was well-stocked for meal preparation. Comfortable leather sofas made for easy lounging. Beds were comfortable. Our hostess was gracious and accommodating. Internet worked. 
Because the kitchen table is glass, setting the table could be a noisy business. 
We had our wonderful little dog with us - a big bonus.
Highly recommended. 

Our group of friends had a fantastic time at this comfortable AirBnb (we were in Unit A). Deanna, the host was communicative and accommodating. The place was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, the decor a nice mix of modern and west coast artsy. The house plants gave a nice homey touch.
It's a short walk to the large sandy beach with lots of driftwood. 
Too bad we didn't know there was a brandnew pickleball court across the road from us, or we would have brought our gear!

The location of the Gallery House is excellent - very close to Botanical Beach, the Avatar Grove, Lizard and Fairy Lakes, eateries and the pub. The beach at the Pacheedaht campground is easily accessible. 

The kitchen is well appointed, with a view of San Juan estuary and the hills behind. The beds are comfortable, and with two bathrooms this place easily accommodates five adults. Nice aesthetics and comfortable furniture made it a comfortable hang-around and relax place.  

Would definately return! 



I have stayed several times over the past several years while fishing from Port Renfrew. The Gallery House has everything you need to make your stay memorable no matter what the purpose of your travels is. The kitchen is VERY complete with ANYTHING you could possibly want to prepare meals. Most of it provided by the owners, but some things left by previous guests. The rooms are perfectly suited no matter if you are on side A or B and will sleep a couple and two in bunk beds. The barbecue and crab cooking facilities are also an added bonus, The deck between both units is very spacious for all to enjoy.

We stayed here in May normally we always camp in Port Renfrew so to us the Gallery House was very fancy but equipped with all the essentials for fishing.   We stayed in side B. All windows had a Ocean View; huge shared balcony; convenient BBQ and  Crab cooking area in the back garden; downstairs washroom had heated floors; the pantry and cupboards were stocked with every cooking utensil and appliance you could think of; if you slept with the bedroom window open a crack you could hear the waves crashing!  We loved it at and will return.

Port Renfrew is a very rural and small.

Overall it was a great place for our group to relax after a long day of fishing!

We (2 couples) spent the weekend at the Gallery House in Port Renfrew and were thrilled with the accommodations! Very clean, well appointed and comfortable with all the amenities of home! Great BBQ too.

The hosts have thoughtfully set up a nice library and a collection of music and dvd's if you need to watch TV - but trust me - there is plenty of stuff to do outside.

Deeply Disappointing Experience.

I recently booked The Gallery House in Port Renfrew with the anticipation of a relaxing and comfortable stay. However, our experience turned out to be anything but.

Upon arrival, we found the property to be in a state of disrepair and neglect. The couches were old and visibly worn, the floors were unpleasantly sticky, and the balcony chairs were dirty. The overall state of the property was not in line with the images and descriptions presented online, which led to a significant discrepancy between our expectations and the reality.

The condition of the property compelled us to leave shortly after arrival, and when we communicated this to the owner and property manager, our concerns were not adequately addressed. They offered a stay in the property next door. But that property was in a similar state. Their refusal to issue any form of refund added insult to injury.

We were at the property for a very brief period of about 15-20 minutes, only long enough to assess the unsatisfactory conditions. Despite this, we were still held financially responsible for a stay that we did not, and could not, enjoy due to the property's state.

I would urge prospective guests to reconsider booking The Gallery House. It's crucial that accommodation providers uphold their promises and commitments to guests. Transparency, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction should be paramount, and it's regrettable that our experience at this property fell far short of these standards.

I hope sharing our experience can help others make informed decisions when choosing their accommodation in Port Renfrew.
