Nice b&b on a stunning place. 
Very quiet and relaxing. 
With a lot of trails on the property. 
The host is a lovely 70+ lady. Most of the things where absolutely great. We where switching rooms after one night because the room with the attached bathroom was getting available. It was no problem at All to switch. Both rooms where very good with a nice view. The bed in the green room (with splitted bathroom) was better then the bed in the blue room (with attached bathroom)
We liked the privacy what we have when we had the blue room. 
The breakfast was ok but not really amazing. 
You have a very little choice, the host decides what you will eat for breakfast. 


Good stunning place

My husband and I did a quick road trip from Victoria to check out some wineries.
This property is a great little gem tucked a one minute drive down to a private lake and organic garden.
Phyllis is a lovely hostess and provides a super breakfast with home made granola, baking, yogurt and fruit.
We stayed in the Green Room which had a great view of the lake. Bathroom was shared.
Bed super comfie and AC a welcome addition given the Okanagan heat!
Enjoyed mornings sunbathing in the peace and quiet. Suppers enjoyed outside with fresh fruit, Submarine sandwiches and the spoils from our varied Wine Tasting adventures!
Highly recommended.

A Slice if Peaceful Heaven

It was an honour to have met Phyllis. The act of preserving and sharing that beautiful land she keeps is a gift to everyone. 

It was wonderful to learn that there is a place in the Penticton area where you can go to really connect with nature.

The breakfast Phyllis made for us was hearty, delicious and very healthy. The granola was divine. I'm kicking myself for forgetting to ask for the recipe. 

There are tons of activities in all the neighbouring communities, wineries, beaches, etc.. but we ended up wanting to stay put to just immerse ourselves in the tranquility of the beautiful valley. We enjoyed having lunch by the water and swimming in the lake, or going for a walk along one of the many trails. 

The lake is stunning. I highly recommend bringing a paddle board or kayak and exploring. It is much bigger than it looks from the house.
 
You can buy fresh vegetables right from Phyllis's fantastic garden, and that's usually where you'll find her.
I intend on asking her if I can help her in her garden next time. ❤

Phyllis is clearly very passionate about what she does, and it was a joy to share that space with her. 
All in all an exceptional 5 stars, I feel very grateful for Phyllis's hard work and kindness, and have every intention of visiting again.

Peaceful

What a pleasure it was waking up to the gorgeous lake view out our bedroom window!  We could have also stayed all day on the front porch watching the many hummingbirds interacting with each other as they flew around the feeders. What fun!!!!  Hiking to the marsh and waterfall, canoeing on the pristine meandering lake, driving into Penticton for the Farmer's market or simply relaxing outside with a good book made our vacation here a one-of-a-kind haven that refreshed our souls.  Added bonus:  Phyllis, a lovely hostess, even allowed us to help her in her outstanding organic garden. We highly recommend this place to everyone!!!

Gorgeous haven

This place is away from the urban area, but easy to get to.  It has frontage on a small lake. There are no other homes or buildings visible.  The accommodations are in the owner's home.  There are only 3 rooms.  We stayed two nights, using the place as a base for visiting wineries in the Oliver area.  However, I suggest you just stay here and spend most of your day here.  Enjoy the lake, the Humming Birds, the water fall, the hikes and easy walks.  Leave the wine for another day.

Very quiet.

Mountain Springs Nature Retreat B&B is a must-see for birders and nature lovers.  Situated beside a lovely lake, with miles of trails on the property, it is a hidden gem.  We enjoyed walking the trails, spotting birds and just enjoying the peaceful tranquility.
The bedrooms all have stunning views of the lake and the surrounding property.

A Birder's paradise

The accommodation is very far away by a small lake. You can relax and enjoy the nature there, we sat on a hangout right by the lake every night, played with the cats, saw rows in the front yard, hummingbirds and turtles. The room with its own bathroom also leaves no wishes open and the Wi-Fi was very good. As the only criticism at a very high level, breakfast could be a little more lavish for 109 euros a night.

Rest and nature pure!

When we arrived at the Mountain Springs Nature Retreat, we were welcomed by Phyllis and her two happy kittens. Our room was air conditioned and had a perfect view of her private lake. Phyllis is very welcoming and makes the best breakfast with home grown biological fruits and jams. Penticton is just a short drive away and Phyllis has a lot of tips for exploring the area. We as a couple in our 20s enjoyed it a lot.

A hidden gem

The owner Phyllis is a wonderful person and very knowledgeable about the area and is very passionate about the land and area. My wife and I spent 3 days here and should have stayed longer. The views are stunning and serene. There are hiking paths to view whatever nature is in the area from deer, bears, feral horses, etc. The second night in we were reading down by the lake and had a deer come within 20' of us to drink. It was beautiful. This is definitely the place to go for rest and relaxation. We stayed in the Green room, the bed was great and the view of the lake was stunning. My wife and I will definitely be going back for many more vacations. And we highly recommend that others check out this fantastic B&B.

It's a magical place where we only stayed one night, so don't hesitate to stay a little longer to enjoy the lake, the garden, and the surroundings!
