I stayed here in 2015 and my review I feel was a little harsh due to the fact I only stayed for one night. My orginal comments about the lifts are still valid annoying buttons the location well thats me being lazy 5 mins in a taxi or 10 minute walk to bars and restaurants.The Wifi really needs to be looked at , but to the Hotels credit they did put a booster in my room which did help. I have just inished a 9 week stay here , how wrong was I my room was kept spotless everyday by the cleaners, the restaurant reception and bar staff have to be the most friendliest people I have ever met this to me is fanstastic given the fact I speak very little Portuguese thank heavens for Google Translate. The Caphenia made by Bonito and Rhenan are some of the best I have tried and have tried a lot , my favorite for breakfast the omelette amazing thank you Chef. To everyone at the Madai especially Maja and Newton who were always there with a welcoming smile and friendly hug , Rhenan , Bonito best barmen Cabo Frio, Geogre for good morning welcome and ordering my omelette and Marcello for being patient when my friends made too much noise thank you , thank you for a fantastic enjoyable stay I have found new friends. I would highly recommend a stay at the Mandai to any wanting to stay in Cabo Frio.
