In this beautiful environment, in the middle of the green fields , I received a warm welcome  and it was just ar arriving at home. There are almost no words to describe this friendly environment and the charming owners .  This is a lot better than a 5* hotel !

Located 10 km away from Lokeren amidst vast fields, this nicely equipped and tastefully furnished house is waiting for those who would like to run and hide from urban hustle. This house (or a farm if you like) is run by a nice couple of horse breeders and in the daylight you may see lots of horses peacefully grazing around the farm. The hospitable hostess Karin prepares a fresh breakfast in the morning for guests staying here. Joos, a friendly host, kindly picked me up with his car at the station, as it was hard to get a taxi late in the evening when I arrived. Second floor of the house where I stayed is a whole penthouse with panoramic windows. A whole family can accommodate up there. And if you choose bedroom at the eastern end of the house, you may enjoy a rising sun view in the morning. For those who prefer to sleep longer, the automatic shutters available for use. Few nice dogs also live here. In other words, if you like nature, this is a place for you to stay. If you don't like nature and have fear of animals, then just keep away from here. Also keep in mind - the owners of this place do not have a TV.

My husband and I have just returned from our boys football tour, having decided to stay at the Finish Terrae rather than at a top hotel with other parents. Karin (landlady) had asked us to phone when we were close, to make sure we were met.On first impressions the outside was very basic, and wondered if we had made a big mistake, but we were welcomed into the open kitchen and lounge area, where it was very rustic,arty and quirky, which I personally loved. We were given a warm welcome and a cold glass of wine on arrival, which were appreciated after the long drive from the UK. We decided to drive to the football ground, and when her friend saw that we had driven down the wrong way he was adamant that we follow him not just to put us onto the right road but he escorted us all the way. On our return, we were shown to our room which backed onto open fields, horses and the sound of a water feature. The room was lovely and looked just like the pictures, but there was no television, which I hadn't noticed and was a little disappointed about at first. The room was lovely though, trendy, with an open modern shower room, and a luxurious bed, with dressing gowns and plenty of towels. Karin met with us and we were given a key so we could come and go as we pleased. Karin and her partner were wonderful hosts, very warm and friendly. The continental breakfast was excellent with freshly baked croissants/ bread and squeezed orange juice.a selection of hams cheeses and cooked eggs made for a very filling start to the day. We feel the Finis Terrae is a tranquil escape from our normal hussle and bussle city lifestyle. surprisingly we enjoyed not having the TV as we would watch the wildlife and listen to just the water feature. there was also a sauna which sadly we didn't have time to use. We came away totally relaxed and in talking to the other parents who stayed in the hotel (which we did visit and it was lovely) I think we had the much better weekend. Thanks Andy and Tina

Excellent place to stay.  My husband and I stayed here recently (April 2015).  The host was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming.  The room was spacious and had an excellent view of the fields and horses.  The breakfast was abundant and delicious.  And the price was very reasonable.  We would recommend this B&B to anyone that wants a comfortable and friendly place to stay outside of a city.

Lovely place in the middle of nowhere. Some very interesting characteristics. Comfortable stay and very Friendly owners will do everything they can for you. Breakfast was fine. Plenty of parking available. Lovely and quiet for time to relax.

Lovely Place

The hosts are a charming couple and very welcoming. The location is quite unique - an industrial estate on one side and fields on the other side, at the end of which is a road. Our room was quite strange - all black, no door to the bathroom (offering a user no privacy) and full of horse memorabilia - skull of a horse, saddles, whips, etc. The whole place had a musty smell - possibly due to the lack of ventilation. Wifi wasn't great - "dropping" several times, while the lights in our room were flickering. There are kitchen facilities that guests can use and there is a communal space for interacting with other guests. Breakfast is extra - 10 Euros per head - which seems strange for a bed and breakfast!
