Fantastic location, spotlessly clean, super brilliant facilities, good breakfast, friendly staff and plenty of individual bathrooms on each floor to be able to shower etc in privacy. This was my first hostel stay, as normally I always book a hotel. I had such a good experience here and would not hesitate to stay again if I return to Bruges. Brilliant value for money. Very good communal area for guests to store food, make drinks etc 

Fantastic, very impressed 

I only stayed at Snuffel for one night but regret not staying longer! Rooms are clean, tidy and spacious. Breakfast is delicious and very good value for money (unlimited buffet for 4 euros!) Reception and bar staff are friendly, welcoming and happy to help with any advice or questions you have about the hostel or Bruges. Snuffel is about 25 minutes' walk from the train station but is less than 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Bruges and is very conveniently located. If you are checking out but spending the day in Bruges, you can leave your bags in one of Snuffel's lockers for the entire day free of charge. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone visiting Bruges. 

Amazing place to stay - highly recommend!

Utterly grossed out by the toilets in the bar/restaurant area. One set of toilets for both sexes, and you have to walk right past the urinals to get to them. The door to the urinals has been ripped off, meaning no privacy for the men taking a pee, and an eyeful for any women having to walk past. A gift to exhibitionist creeps. If you insist on going gender neutral, you need fully enclosed floor-to-ceiling units with a wash basin inside and good line of sight on the doors from the bar area. Nothing else is really safe or dignified for women and girls.

The room was good and clean. It had lockers and a bathroom on the room., a room with 2 bunker beds where I selp with 3 friends and it was good. The location is excellent, walking distance to all the landmarks, gorgeous walk. It has a very cool bar downstairs with live music and great ambiance.

Very good - thinks to know

My daughter and I stayed here in a private 2 person room and it was great. Our room may have even been the largest room that we stayed in during our month long travels through Turkey and Europe.  The location was great, the staff was great and the environment and vibe was very comfortable with lounge areas with couches and cushy chairs, an outside area with tables and benches and an in-hostel bar to service them. We also took advantage of the all day bike rental for 8 euros which was great. We were only there one night, but I would have happily stayed many and will definitely be back the next time I'm in Bruges.

A great place to stay even if you're not a young backpacker

Stayed here 4 nights, a great decision both to dig into the richness of Bruges and enjoy this incredibly fairly priced hostel. The breakfast is excellent and cheaper than anything you'll find in Bruges, which is noticeably pricier than Brussels (but worth it!), and in my 4-bed mixed ensuite I made friends each day that I could hang out with! Staff were super friendly and helpful, excellent common areas and opportunities to meet other travelers. My only complaint is that it was HOT in room 214, and being June, that will only get worse. 

Great for Solo Travelers

Friendly atmosphere, friendly receptionist, excellent location, clean, organized. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The bathroom is exterior and shared, but in excellent condition, clean. I would definitely return!! (Me olvidé mi paraguas recuerdo de París 🤣)

Excellent! friendly reception and comfortable camas!!

A really cool hostel just a 10 min walk away from the middle of Bruges. We got a warm welcome from the staff and the room was clean, if a bit sparse - but that was expected!

The only (very!) few issues we had were: 

- with the duvets we found in the room’s cupboard, as there were a couple of stains on one. It had, in all likelihood, been washed but it might be an idea to take damaged bedding out of circulation, as it can be off-putting.

- the room’s temperature was tricky to control; the radiator was on, so we turned it down. Room was still warm by the evening so we opened a window to sleep. Woke up chilly, got out the duvet (see above)

- it would have been good to have a couple of extra towels to dry the bathroom floor with (or a bath mat) - the shower door allowed a fair amount of water through. 

It’s worth saying that we didn’t highlight any of the above to staff, as we were only there for a couple of days and the problems were easily mitigated. I’m in no doubt that they’d have fixed anything that was really bothering us.

The positives far outweigh the negatives, in any case. The atmosphere in the evenings was lovely to sit amongst downstairs in the bar, and there were always tables and chairs available for chilling out after a day’s hard sightseeing. The decor’s great, and I liked that they had little potted plants everywhere. Everyone there is there to have a good time, and it really gets you into the adventurey spirit. The breakfast, too, was perfect. Lots of bits and pieces to choose from, it was constantly replenished and it set us up for the day.

All-in-all, don’t think you could get better in Bruges for the price!

Great hostel, would go back!

Its a pretty nice hostel, the day of leaving the frontdoor was closed, and we had to exit through the side door, but the beds where comfy, and the room and bathrooms very clean. 

The blankets where in the very spatious lockers, but it was to small for the duvet.

The complemantary breakfast is always a bonus. it was nothing fancy, but plenty and as much as you wanted.

The kitchen was allright, nothing fancy, but plenty to go around.

2 nights in Bruges

I was with my girlfriend in a private room with a private bathroom. It was only moderately clean. In the room itself, there's only the bed, two chairs and a fan. There's a closet with a paylock. Why can't I recommend the hostel? There's a bar, but it closes at 10:00 p.m., including all the community areas. Then you should go into the room or go outside. Also, you can't come to the hostel after 1:00 a.m. unless you call a number and wait for someone to open the door. The room isn't really clean. The breakfast was very lean. There was toast/whole grain bread and marmalade, butter, cereal and Kellogg's milk.
