Pension Alpentraum

We moved hotels to this guesthouse after a spontaneous extension of our trip. We arrived after a day of skiing, hot and exhausted from moving baggage on a busy bus and was met as we entered the guesthouse by the lovely gentleman owner. He showed us where to store our skis and helped take them down to the basement, he then took our bags up to our room. He did not speak much English but his non-verbal communication was great and we managed to ask questions and get answers in short sentences. It was lovely to see the effort he went to to try and understand and he never once got frustrated with the language barrier. His daughter was also there who came out of the office to assist with any questions we had as she spoke a lot more english. After taking a tray up to our room of tea and milk, the father came back up to our room with a train and bus timetable and map and showed us where and how to use the services. The next morning we went down for breakfast and was met by a lady who I presume was the gentleman's wife and daughters mum. She met us with a warm smile and again not much English but she tried so so hard to accommodate us and speak to us despite the language barrier. What a lovely, helpful family. They really made us feel incredibly welcome and seem to be very hard working people who quite frankly I could've asked them to adopt me. Would absolutely recommend this place. Located between kaprun and zell. The station is just up the road. The bus stop is further onto the main road and on the train its a two minute two stop ride to the Areit express chair lift.
