A small single room was clean, a little old-fashioned, but authentic for a guest house. The breakfast buffet was sufficient.

Traditional hostel

The check-in was friendly and pretty quick. When I entered the single room, I was already amazed that the lighting was partially flawed. I also noticed that the main lighting in the bathroom was flickering. The restaurant is cooking domestically all the way through. There are different kinds of beers. The drinks should be ordered with caution, since the waiters are not on the lookout. So I waited for 40 to 60 minutes every two days until one came to order drinks.

Simple hotel and restaurant

In the centre of Wels is the GösserBräu, parking is accessible via the parallel street. Well marked. Free of charge! Friendly welcomed. The rooms and the hotel are very well maintained and classically decorated. The bathroom is convenient and rather small. Quiet rooms, you hear nothing from the hallway and the neighbouring rooms. It is safe to say thanks to the thicker walls of the building. The hotel has several rooms of different sizes and facilities. Comfortable and thank God not renovated, but authentic. So you expect it from a traditional guest. The waiters are fast and attentive. Traditional hotel and inn

Very nice, 90's style, small single room, very comfortable, unfortunately very strong smoke in the room, with the windows open, sounding like the indoor Christmas market, good location in the center, parking.

Who likes smoking rooms

Traditional house with old charm. Great beer gardens and cozy rooms. Breakfast was nice and we sat comfy. The young man at the reception could say goodbye when he checked in.

We booked apartment 138. Impeccably furnished, spacy, well equipped. In many ways, though, detached from the GösserBräu. Located in a nearby apartment complex, 138 does not seem to be part of the hotel proper but certainly is a good choice for travelers who enjoy standing on their own feet as regards coffee/tea, little snacks and drinks. Alas, when I arrived, the fridge was not on, leaving me to find out how to get things started; AC seemed to be ready to provide warmth but appeared unable to cool. With temperatures being in their upper thirties, one would have liked some cooling. Reception did not take me beyond the lift, saying the room would be on the third floor; not saying that an undesigned door is leading to the apartment, no information about AC/fridge, either; when addressed directly, she apologized about the AC system being unable to cool. Fine beer garden to finish the day off. The following morning, breakfast was very good.

When reception lets you down

I stayed one night for work. The hotel is conveniently accessible by car, has private parking, and is in the centre of Wels, a beautiful town where you can take a walk after dinner.

It's a great hotel.

Nice hotel in the city centre. The house with the inviting beer garden looks like a decadent island surrounded by other modern or purely utilitarian buildings. Very nice for a nice summer evening in the beer garden with fresh beer and delicious food. The rooms are utilitarian, the bathroom is big enough and clean. Breakfast okay.

Guesthouse hotel with beer garden

It's an old traditional hotel in the centre of Wales, you must have seen it, especially in December, when there's a Christmas market in the yard, very good traditional Austrian cuisine.

The Christmas market

We stayed for one night and had a single room and a double room. Both were not big but enough. The arrangement individually, we liked it and each bathroom was nice. It was not so nice to ventilate the kitchen right in front of our window. It was quite warm and if you wanted to ventilate you had all the smell in the room. Since it was cooler then we could sleep well with the windows closed. The breakfast was good and we had everything we wanted. Nice staff and the beer garden is great.
