City Edge Box Hill Apartment Hotel

Loved staying at Apartment 108 for 4 nights. The good: Balcony- overlooking large carpark and north facing so perfect amount of sunshine. Split system aircon - I wl stayed during a hot period and felt cool and comfortable. Spacious- chose 2 bedroom which suited my needs. Full kitchen with utensils- I love the freedom to cook whilst away and will always choose an apartment over studio. Undercover secure parking- complete with stacker parking bays. New experience for me and spot on instructions from Ailine. Elevator-handy. Quiet- could be the time of year. Perhaps more university students and hospital staff stay throughout the year being close to Box Hill Hospital and Institute. Comfortable bed- No more needs to be said. Great shower pressure - small but good heat and pressure. Washer/ Dryer combo - bring washing powder! Communication and after hours checkin were great. Felt very welcome at the apartment. Ample towels - BYO face washer. Second Wife Cafe on Wellington St - Tommy is awesome and makes great coffee! Tell him I said hi. What dulled my experience a little: The cleanliness of the apartment. I'm not OCD however the floors, windows and bench tops looked like they had been cleaned with the same cloth. The apartment is in good shape however the beautiful double glass floor to ceiling doors to the balcony were extremely dirty and an eyesore as were benches and nothing available to wipe them down. Kitchen utensils could do with an update. Little worn and flimsy however still functional. A dish cloth and cleaning cloth would be great as there was nothing to wipe down the bench tops especially after cooking. Would I stay again? Absolutely! Grateful for the space and loved my stay in Box Hill.
