My daughter and I visited the Estancia for three days and absolutely loved our time there. Angie and Diego run a truly 5⭐ operation with very well appointed rooms in a very traditional style (excellent quality linens, towels.etc.).  We spent our days out on the land with the gauchos working the cattle.  My daughter is experienced with horses and was able to do a lot of fast riding.  The gauchos took pity on me as a beginner rider but I still spent 4-5 hours a day in the saddle. Before and after dinner drinks were included in the price as were all of the sumptuous meals (I gained a few pounds). They also took care of our laundry gratis which I really appreciated.  I can't say enough in praise of this establishment. Would return in a heartbeat.



5⭐Gaucho Experience

We stayed there for four days. There are two rides a day, morning and afternoon. The horses are well-trained and respond very well. The gauchos are friendly and very attentive. They let you canter a lot, as soon as they know your experience.
The rooms are nice and have a big luxurious bed. The food is very good (3 meals and snacks per day) and drinks (wine and spirits) are included.
We enjoyed our stay a lot, we can recommend this place without any hesitation.

Lovely and family-owned estancia

We had the best time staying here. Angie and Diego are lovely hosts. The rooms are large and comfortable. The ranch in beautiful. We did horse riding on multiple days. I was a complete beginner but this was no issue. The horses are so well trained, and Angie and the Gauchos taught me in no time. We also did a boat trip with their son Ramon. We caught fishes, swam in the river and enjoyed the speed boat. An amazing experience. On top of the activities, I was so impressed with the food. The best we’ve had in Argentina. An amazing stay and would love to visit again.

Amazing Experience

I stayed at Estancia Don Joaquin with 2 friends, for 5 days. The whole stay was fabulous, the gauchos, the horses, the beautiful accommodation, the food, and the incredibly attentive staff. Angie Solanet could not have been more helpful, before during and after our stay. We were a very mixed ability group when it came to riding, but the Gauchos took so much care to look after us and make sure that everyone was safe and having a good time. The horses were lovely, and Toro the dog came along on all the rides. The food was fantastic and the drinks free flowing. After 5 days we all felt chilled and relaxed and did not want to leave. I could not recommend this place more highly.

Amazing  estancia, very authentic

I was here for the third time and over 2 weeks. You can work with the Gauchos and enjoy your riding preferences in this horse paradise. You have a good choice among over 60 Caballos. The seats are convenient and suitable for hours of outing, with a Gaucho alone as a guide or in groups. I could support the Gauchos in their work, for example, riding cattle and horses, on the pastures or in the Corral. Everything is live and no simulated western riding game with nested cattle on the sandy beach.

A wonderful stay. This is the second time I have been to the Estancia Don Joaquin, a wonderful welcome, both family, warm and very well taken care of. The rooms are tastefully decorated, the meals are rich and juicy. The Solanet family and the Gauchos are in little care, while remaining very authentic. What a joy and privilege, to be able to share these moments on horseback, between walking and real time of observation (or participation) in the daily work of the Gauchos.

An Unforgettable Stay

I planned for 10 days but stayed for a month.

Angie, her family, and her team of gauchos are kind, attentive, and extremely accommodating. They're highly sensitive to each client's varying needs and cater to riders of all levels. Every guest is treated like an old friend.

The horses are in incredible health and extremely well trained and cared for. The estancia has an extensive herd and the gauchos are happy to introduce you to many different horses over the course of your stay. Opportunities to visit the town, go fishing, embark on a wildlife safari, or get a massage are also available at your request.

The food is excellent; every meal is a fully serviced experience, like eating at a five star restaurant.

Rooms provide luxury level comfort and feature central air, comfortable bedding and great showers. The estancia itself is beautiful, adorned with flourishing plant life and outfitted with comfortable lounge furniture from which to read, bird watch, or witness the ethereal sunset.

I highly recommend this location. I was completely spoiled and comfortable. I plan to return in a few months and bring several friends because I want to share this amazing place with others. This place provides an experience that is hard to live up to.

A truly magical experience in every way

We went with my daughters two weeks ago. The experience is exceptional from the moment you arrive. The place is divine. Where one looks is a photo. The contact with nature is unbeatable. Large ridges through incredible landscapes with spectacular horses and the care of Angie and the hotel staff that make the experience unique. The aesthetics and comfort of the house and rooms are wonderful. All the staff makes you feel at home. You stay all the time and they give you to eat rich things. It is definitely a magical place and it makes you happy. Don't miss it. To go with kids, or to the enja or to the solo.

The perfect program.

We were a large group for three nights with small children, ages 2 to 11.Excellent service, led by Angie and Diego who resulted in two great hosts.The riders deserve a separate opinion.With kids of that age, safety is very important and the gauchos who accompany them.Always pay attention to everything the kids do, don't leave them alone and let the adults enjoy the riding.
