Ai Nghia Hotel

I was a traveler from Korea. I had been in this hotel  for two nights. Its price was very cheap but the room was very good. I could use Wi-fi freely and had a deep sleep during the nights. When I lost a button from my cloth, Mam kindly repaired it for me. If I visit Da Lat again, I will be here, Ai Nghia Hotel.

This hotel is perfect for seeing Dalat. Right opposite the river prince hotel. Staff are friendly but speak little English. A warning the water in your room is not free, they charge 10000 dong per bottle when you leave. Wifi is ok, but does not always work in the room. Rooms are large and the hot shower is great. You will find it hard to find anything cheaper in Dalat. I will recommend this hotel on a budget.

Very kind people and the clean room

Good value in Dalat

We stayed at Ai Nghia for two nights close to the April national holiday. The hotel is well situated near the city centre across from the River Prince hotel.

We were checked into a King room overlooking the street. The room was adequately equipped but lacked any locking cabinets. The shower worked intermittently and the drainage was poorly laid out. Street noise was fairly loud but it didn't bother us as we sleep easily. WiFi was reliable.

When we first arrived, we weren't very impressed. However, we didn't have any major problems during our time at Ai Nghia, and the location is quite convenient - only a 5 minute walk from the city square. The staff are also quite helpful when they're not frowning in confusion.

A place that doesn't wow foreign tourists bit surprisingly covers all the bases.

Average stay near the city centre

I arrived with some family from Ho Chi Minh City and stayed for two nights. 

Here are some cons: 

Upon arrival, the first thing I noticed was the dirty floor. Mud was tracked throughout the hotel from the heavy rain and left to dry. In my room, one bed had a very sour odor and the other had stains, crumbs, and hair all over the heavy blanket and the mattress. There were splashes on the toilet in the bathroom and wadded up pieces of toilet paper in the corner. The hot water in the shower was difficult to turn on as the water was strong when it was on the cold setting but not even a drizzle as it was changed to a hotter setting. At night, it’s difficult to sleep as there’s always some sort of never-ending sounds coming from the room above (the first night it was karaoke at 12 am, printer sounds, and chairs scraping across the floor). There was also the sound that could have been of someone trying to open the door to my room (or the wind, as my family said... but the wind also persisted throughout the day and these sounds were only heard at night). 

Pros:

This hotel is very close to various coffee and milk tea shops as well as shopping markets and restaurants. It’s also not too far away from these strawberry fields where you can pick your own strawberries and take them home (during the right season) and this sloth-themed park in the jungle that I can’t recall the exact name of. Wifi is kind of spotty but has been mote reliable than the wifi at other hotels.

All in all, this hotel is pretty cheap so you get what you pay for, I guess.

Nastiest room ever!

We spent one night at Ai Nghia hotel on our journey from Ho Chi Minh to Hoi An. The hotel's location is fabulous- right in the centre of lovely Dalat with lots of nice restaurants and adorable cafés just on your  doorstep.

The rooms were lovely. We had a double bed each and wide French doors with a little balcony, and there was plenty of room to store your things. However, the towels we were given were very dirty and the shower was broken- it was impossible to hang it on the wall. As soon as we told the staff they arranged for some to come and fix it but it would have been noticed of the room had been checked properly between guests.

Only one staff member spoke enough English to help us check in. We were up quite a few flights of narrow stairs and there was no lift so we had to struggle up with all our bags and no offer of help.

Overall we were quite unhappy with the staff. Apart from one nice young woman, they all made us feel like an inconvenience. Easy Rider members were allowed to come in to reception and harass us for business unchecked which was really annoying. When we got to the room water had been left out and there were no prices so, assuming it was free, we drank it. However upon checking out we were informed that there was indeed a charge for it. It was only a small amount but I told them that we should have been informed about the charge at check in or a sign should have been put in the room. It is poor customer service to add on hidden charges at the end. No breakfast was included in the stay.

Our experience at the hotel  was mediocre at best but it was the staff that really let it down.
