Came here when it opened up back in 2014. One of my favourite moments of my travels! Awesome place! Must go! Ting is amazing! It has always haunted me that I never left a review so am doing it now, although a bit late... if you get the chance go to Dan Lat and stay at Camellia hotel!

Basically, I was here two years ago and have only just got an account on Trip Advisor. I heard about this hostel from some people we met in Hoi-An and decided to check it out. The amenities were all fine, nothing incredible but for me this did not matter, this hostel made me feel so at home. The family who worked there ensured that everyone there knew eachother, made sure we were having fun and were genuinely some of the nicest people I have ever met. A fellow traveller gave me a BB gun that i didnt fancy carrying across to the Cambodian border, so with Tin's permission i gave it to his son, I hope he had a lot of fun using it. And if anyone who works there is reading this... I hope you are in a good place and you deserve all the best in life...

Arrived in Da Lat very early in the morning and had to come and leave our bags for a bit whilst they readied the room.  Walked up the street to a busy Pho place that was excellent for breakfasts, make note.  The room was nice and clean.  The family was great.  We had access to the balcony which was great and there was an honor check list for beers from the fridge at reasonable prices.  I suggest playing some pool downstairs for one of your nights.  It was a blast!
It is a bit of a walk to get around the city, but it is worth it to see all of the sites.  A cab works as well.  Really nice stay and the weather was much cooler than in other parts of Vietnam.

The hotel is about 15min walk from the centre and there are no tourist restaurants nearby. A taxi ride is about 15000VND (50p). 

We arrived early for check in and although they did not have an available room, they still provided us with a stop gap room which was more than adequate. 

Our room was a bit tired and there was traffic noise. The shower had a very low hot water pressure which made it difficult to use reliably. There were good windows providing natural light and some character.

The best thing about this hotel is the Manager who really tries to make guests stay as happy as possible. She made us a great value breakfast in the open plan kitchen/diner. The homemade peanut butter and strawberry jam is as good as the other reviews say! She gave us a great map and showed us the tourist sites which we rode to on a rental motorbike from the hotel. She also reserved our bus tickets.

Definitely NOT centrally located. I Should have looked for hotels near Xuan Huong lake or Dalat market.

I booked on Tripadvisor (via booking.com) yet the receptionist did not know how to look for the booking online. Understand that it was his first shift but i'd expect the other more experienced receptionist would assist instead of telling the new guy what to do half asleep. Talking about customer service, definitely 2 stars (because at least the new receptionist was nice)!!!!!!

Double room is fairly small. Hot water for showering potentially turns off itself if someone else on the same pipeline uses the water (hence unexpected cold water).

At night, kids gather outside and literally scream their lungs out until 9pm every night, very disturbing especially when you're trying to sleep. However, it won't be an issue if you are a late nighter (after 9pm will be quiet but noise mainly comes from local traffic)

No facilities for laundry.

Saying all of these though, I had to admit that the price is quite cheap, but to spend a few nights only here in Dalat, stay centrally would be worthwhile.

In conclusion, I would not be back here again.
