Lam Chau Homestay

We arrived very early, planned to drop our bags off and come back for check in time but we were given a key and shown to our room. Was very good because we caught up on sleep. The house in general is nice and big, you can tell it's lived in by a loving family. The family are lovely. Mum and dad are always smiling. We spoke the most to Mimi, their daughter. She's a character! She spoke very good English and made us laugh with her attitude and American words. She took us for a walk to the close by river and brought us sugar cane juice. We felt bad for her paying so we treated her to lunch. She made us a yummy fruit salad too! The room was clean and comfortable, a nice space. There was a menu available for you to order food. I had an omelette every morning which came with a fresh baguette. We saw the dad pop out to grab them. We sat and ate our breakfast outside which was nice. Mimi said her mum makes the best coffee in town! It's further from the centre than we thought but Bicycles are available for you to use at no charge. We enjoyed cycling around but it can be a bit scary at night with no lights and other transport passing. Whenever we left to go out, we were offered a taxi and they rang for us.
