The hosts are really nice and make you feel very welcome. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Hosts will help with recommdations and such.

Looking for an authentic, well priced, clean, well located, family run guest house we hit gold with Anh and Anh, a husband / wife team whose friendly and helpful advice gave us a wonderful experience. A simple and comfortable room with great aircon, a balcony onto the laneway below and clean and tidy bathroom ensuite.  Loved it!!!

Great and helpful hosts. The location is perfect right off of Walking Street. Great restaurants just a short walk away.

The best service, a great price and an awesome location if you want to be in the thick of it. Be prepared to sharpen your elbows and wave away a few ‘special offers’ and you are on your way! Will definitely stay here again, under the same circumstances

Very good location, so clean room, quite place, staff helpfull and knowledgeable about Saigon and whole Vietnam. They helped us to book everything in professional way. Guesthouse owned and managed by a couple who are always smiling, gave us logic recommendations which made our trip easy in Saigon. 

Anh the owner and his wife were by far nicest and most welcoming owners I met. Thorough introduction to city attractions and a lot of laughs. Guesthouse is in the heart of district 1 so you can walk everywhere. Room was beautiful, clean, peaceful and spacious. Excellent facilities and safe guest house.

I’ve just returned to the UK after a second stay with Mr and Mrs Anh at the Diep Anh Guesthouse, right in the centre of District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, (formerly Saigon) Vietnam.  Saigon centre is a warren of side streets and lanes, - with hundreds of hotels, guest houses and the like.  The Diep Anh Guesthouse is recommended, less than a five minute walk from the (109 Airport bus) Bus Station Terminal at Chợ Thái Bình, Phạm Ngũ Lão, Quận 1, Hồ Chí Minh, Vietnam.  

Mr and Mrs Anh are a lovely couple who go above and beyond what might be expected to make their guests comfortable, offer advice, and will book trips and visits for their guests.  It’s a narrow alley to get to the Guesthouse, but once there, the rooms are spacious, well appointed and spick and span, quiet, and very reasonably priced. 

The next time I’m visiting Ho Chi Minh City I’ll definitly be looking to stay at the Diep Anh Guesthouse again.

I absolutely loved staying at Anh's guest house. We got in really late at night and had no problems finding the place and checking in. Anh and his wife are the sweetest people in town. They gave us advice on what to do in the city as well as had maps printed out for us. The hotel is right in the center of District 1 and almost everything is walkable. The rooms are clean and simple which is nice to come to after a long day. We only stayed for two night but Anh assisted us with finding a bus to our next adventure. My friend and I also had a extra day in Vietnma before we were heading home and they had no problem storing our luggage for us while we enjoyed the city for the day. Honestly they went above and beyond to make our trip memorable and fun. Thank you again for having us and we cant wait to come back. XX

Great location for our trip purpose as it was right around the corner from the bus stop that took us to Cambodia and lots of tour places around. There’s also the market close by too. The owners were a very sweet elder couple who showed us some places to eat and places to go for our short stop over. Rooms were a little small but we were only in the rooms to sleep and went knowing it wasn’t a 5star resort style suite room. I think their hospitality made up for it. The guesthouse is in an ally way so it was a bit hard to find but taxis know their way and it wasn’t a problem. (But had I been driving like I do in the states, it would have taken me several rounds before finally finding it). We travelled in a big group and had 3 double rooms which were on 3 different floors With no elevator(luckily we travelled light). place was quite except for our kids running up and down looking for each other (apologies to the other guests who stayed the same night as us- we take full responsibility for the noisy children at 7 in the morning) The owners took the time and showed us the ropes of the room, which buttons do what and so forth. Overall it was a pleasant experience we had there and recommend this place and would def go back if I have the chance to explore hcm more.

Friendly, helpful, well organized family-run guest house. Stayed for three nights on the 5th floor. Room was clean, remarkably quiet despite the location, good value for money. Possibly the best location in Ho Chi Minh city just off busy tourist district street Bui Vien and all the services you could ever need within metres of your door. Walking distance to all major sites including markets and museums. 
Owner gives good advice and goes out of his way to help without being intrusive.

Couldn't be happier

This is a charming little guest house, run by the loveliest family. It's down a very narrow alley but it is well signposted. As soon as we arrived we were given a very warm welcome and were given lots of information about Ho Chi Minh City. (The city can be rather overwhelming for the first-time visitor so good to find a haven!) 

Our room was on the third floor (note, there are no lifts, which may be important if you have a suitcase) and it was basic but lovely. Good size, air conditioned and had a strong but noisy ceiling fan for your more immediate cooling needs. It had a fridge and TV, and the bathroom was clean. Please note, this guest house is in Ho Chi Minh City, and as such you will hear noise from the street - even on the third floor.  But it was comfortable for us, and the price for a night is very very good. 

And, they even sorted out a cab for us, including walking with us to the main street and literally helping us into said cab. Completely over and above our expectations!

Lovely staff

We stayed here for 3 nights. The owners are quite lovely. They are kind and helpful. 

There is no elevator and so going up and down the stairs can be tricky if you are older or have bad knees.

The rooms were big and clean. They have simple toiletries available if you forget something. 

Great location down an alley very close (less than a 2-minute walk) to Walking Street.

Best location in HCMC  

Clean facility, hot water, comfy bed, sweet and helpful couple.  Great budget hotel in the middle of district 1.  Worth a stay.  Down an alley between two main streets, one a crazy street filled with bars. The room was very spacious and in good condition. The owner was extremely helpful and provided a map to explore the city and offered advice for things to do.

Stayed at Diep Anh guesthouse Thursday 17 - 19 August 2017 with my wife and 2 boys (6&7). My pre-trip research really paid off. Great little guest house with very freindly, knowledgable owners who are more than happy to chat and help. The place can be a little difficult to find as it is down a tiny alley (as are most of these little hotel/guesthouses). It is bang smack in the middle of the backpacker area in district 1, a bustling metropolis of activity, bars, restraunts and shops. If it's a lively, busy area that you are after, in comfortable, clean and relatively cheap accomodation, this place is for you. The accomodation itself is really quiet which is surprising given its close proximity between Bui Vien and Pham Ngu Lao. Highly recommended.
