I needed to be near Queen Plaza Ky Hoa for a tattoo convention and Ky Hoa Guest House came up in a random search. I stayed in Room 406 for three nights. It was spotless. The staff are friendly, though they didn't have a lot of English. The security guard outside was attentive and will warn guests not to take out cameras and phones in the streets because of snatch thieves. There are two friendly dogs who will welcome and greet you. They stay with the security guards. The location is off the main street, so it's very nice and quiet. It is literally 3 minutes' walk to Queen Plaza Ky Hoa, and you wouldn't have to cross the main road. There are loads of street food vendors and eateries around. Go for the street food. It's heaps better and cheaper than the shops. Con: It's not in the heart of the touristy area. However, taxis are easily got (only use Vinasun or Mai Linh) and it's not that far from the city centre.
