Halong Backpackers Hostel

A must visit to chill out and make friends. The staff is pretty cool and the setup is awesome with flags of different countries and currencies. The works on wall is cool. You get free snooker too. 
Food is great. Ambience is great. The feel here is great. 

Thank you for giving me wonderful holiday when coming to Vietnam , your room is very clean , the breakfast is great ,the best is a cup of coffee in the morning and the staff are very happy here . and enthusiastic . The service you have to say is very thoughtful . If l have the opportunity to return to vienam l will come back to you . Goodbye

A totally cool place.

The laundry service there made my clothes smelly. I have a smelly vacation in Halong bay. Although the staff can say English and helpful. Halong bay is rainy frequently. After 24 hours, the clothes are still wet. It’s difficult to find a laundry store. Actually the whole area of bai chay, halong bay is running down and lack of enough accommodation convenience. The whole Anh Dao street is full of travel agencies. The necessary stores are absent or closed. The hostel is in a good location.

The bar is the best place to be on NYE. The music started slow with Ed Shearing and moved on to rock. The beer was flowing and people were dancing until 4am. Great atmosphere. There were many Westerners from the USA and Europe and plenty of beautiful local girls.

The worst hostel I have been in so far. And I have been in a few. Very hard beds, like slapping on wood 2bi4's ful of cockroach's and other bugs, rats, some of the windows were covered but....you can see in the foto the light was still coming thro the walls. Staff was friendly; but that doesn't make it better. Not going there again
