We pushed thru TERRIBLE weather conditions and made it to Rawlins to pick up family who were injured in accident and taken to hospital.  I80 closed after we arrived.  There was no way I was driving in those conditions after dark anyway, it was sheer white out in many places.  So we hunkered down at Mictrotel Rawlins for the night.  Decent hotel it was warm, comfortable and we felt safe albeit still shaking from treacherous drive.  Decent price too and basic breakfast included.  Few friendly truckers there who were inquiring about the road conditions and also advised we wait til mid morning to assess departure.   The manager (sorry didn't get his name) went out of his way to assure our comfort and that we had everything we needed.   Very kind people who appreciated how frightened and frazzled we were.  Definitely not a 5 star accommodatiom but a welcome respite in a scary situation.

The hotel was fine while we were there. Very close to the interstate so it had some noise at night. The frustration came the next day when we had checked out and I realized I had left my prescription glasses in the bathroom. I called the front deak and the man was incredibly difficult. I asked if I could pay the bill to have my glasses sent to me and he refused to help. He said I had to come pick them up but I was already 9 hours away in Kansas at that time. For a hotel off I-80 one would think they would be more accomodating to travelers who are clearly driving through.

I had terrible time there! They charged me for a service animal! They asked for “service animal card” which is not a thing. They asked why I need my service animal. Then argued with me about it. Staff was rude. Hotel room shower was broken and only thing that was nice was lady that cleans rooms did a good job. There dog poop all over grass. Breakfast was cold and hard right when it opens.

stayed at Days Inn Wyndham  two nights earlier and it was great. breakfast was horrible. o.j. watered down, chipped beef watered down too. Yuk!! sausage pale and uncooked looking, probably microwaved. no yogurt, no pastry.Solid ice on entry both arriving and morning.

Facility not well cared for.  No heat was on in room when we arrived at 11:00pm and it was 18 degrees outside.  Parking lot so icy it was difficult to walk into the building.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Bonfires in parking lot, no working heat or air. Place was falling apart and in dire need of maintenance. Trim falling off walls, no secondary lock on door...........Bad hotel.

Dirty room, rude front desk staff. Pet friendly only if you take the worst room in the place. No refrigerator, no clock, hair in the tub and on the bathroom floor, stained carpet, desk chair has so many stains I’d sit on the dirt before sitting in it. Peeling paint on bathroom walls, toilet loose and rocks when you sit on it. At 4am an alarm went off in the next room, right by my head. It kept going. Went to front desk staff just looked at me like what do you want me to do. Went back to room, 15 minutes later still going off. Back to desk he finally came to room to hear it. It stopped finally. At 5:15 am it started again. Back to desk. Here it is 5:30 am and I’m still listening to this dang alarm because the front desk staff will do nothing about it. Best advise is to avoid this place! Unless you like dirty rooms and alarms going off at all hours of the morning, Going to front desk again for the 4th time!!!!
