We can not say enough about our wonderful stay at the Steamboat Castle! Because of COVID, we were looking for a nice getaway without having to fly to our destination. After researching many B & B options, I decided to book with the Steamboat Castle. Ginny was on top of everything from the moment I called to officially book. We got confirmation emails and texts leading up to our arrival. The property is even more beautiful than in photos. The house is just perfect and you feel at home right away. Ginny and her husband Jamie are super welcoming and give great advice/tips for restaurants, vineyards, and hikes in the area. Ginny’s breakfasts are delicious and the presentations makes you feel like you’re at a 5 star hotel. We took advantage of the making s’mores in the fire pit table, relaxing in the hot tub, and taking the kayaks out. We highly recommend taking visiting this hidden gem along magical Keuka Lake! 

Beautiful home and view. Anything you could need for a totally relaxing stay inside, outside and on the lake was provided. Kitchen was better equipped than any other rental property that we have stayed at. Ginny was extremely friendly and always available for any questions. Great place to stay

Stunning and charming with lovely hosts and best breakfasts ever. Lake is clean and peaceful with kayaks and canoes. Very mindful of cleanliness and safety. Ten out of ten!! Stayed in Halsey with private balcony. Linens delightful.

We once again we just loved our stay! Simply te best place to stay in FLX! Right on the water, great breakfast, beautiful view. We sat on our balcony and watched fireworks and a full moon on the 4th. We love the area, the wineries, the restaurants all had outdoor dining, perfect getaway.

This is our second time staying at Steamboat Castle.  We enjoyed it even more this visit.  Jamie and Ginny are wonderful hosts.  We felt so welcomed and the breakfasts are always amazing.  They have done a great job of social distancing at breakfast - we felt safe in that regard.  Love the property, docks and kayaks.  We also used the jacuzzi which was lovely as well.  Beautiful setting and gorgeous view from our room (the Lulu).  We can't say enough about this beautiful spot - we will definitely keep coming back.  Also, we have told a few friends about this place and they want to make a visit too.!

This is our fourth year at Steamboat Castle, we love it! My husband and I visit the Finger Lakes every year. Once we found Steamboat Castle we decided we never had to look for another place to stay. This is an amazing B and B on Keuka Lake. Its ON the lake and you can just walk out to one of the docks and hang out, jump in the lake, kayak, whatever appeals. There are several different outdoor spaces for hanging out, which we always enjoy. Ginny and Jaime are wonderful. The breakfasts are amazing and Ginny's recommendations for wineries, restaurants, hikes are great. Its clear that she loves the area and wants to share the experiences. We stay on the top floor, the view is amazing the rooms are immaculate.  Its one of our all time favorite places!

The Finger Lakes in NY is our happy place. Steamboat is our happier place. Ginny and Jamie have a beautifully restored B&B located on Lake Keuka. Watching the sun rise from our third floor balcony is a wonderful way to begin a day. Ginny’s breakfasts rank with the best in the world. If you leave hungry it is your own fault.
The Tatter Tot Medley is delicious. It will get you to mid afternoon as the portions are quite large. 
We also love seeing our friend Samantha, the beagle. She greets you with a wagging tail and also makes you smile
If you want the perfect romantic getaway, then Steamboat is your place. You won’t be sorry

Steamboat Castle was a wonderful place to stay on  the lake  in Penn Yan.  The decor was beautiful and the place was immaculate.  Ginny was a gracious host and breakfast was excellent.  I hope to return in the summer where I can enjoy a glass of wine outside or inside in one of their sitting rooms that face the lake.

My husband and I decided last minute to visit Finger Lakes because we had heard great reviews. We can’t say enough about this beautiful area. Steamboat Castle is in a perfect location right on Keuka Lake. The house itself is beautiful but what made our stay was Ginny and Jamie’s hospitality and who could forget the adorable Samantha (we recently lost our dog so we appreciated the snuggles). Ginny’s breakfasts are amazing! By the second morning I woke up all excited to see what was on the menu and she didn’t disappoint. They also have a great link on their website of what to see and do in the area. They also gave us some recommendations. Everyone we met was so warm and welcoming we felt like locals by the end of our 2 night stay. We loved it so much we have already booked our return trip! We have stayed at B&B’s before but Steamboat Castle exceeded our expectations and Ginny, Jamie and Samantha are just genuinely lovely. I would highly recommend Steamboat Castle B&B to anyone!

We spent 2 nights at this beautifully restored lakefront B&B in the Lulu room- the room is on the smaller side but met all our needs: very clean, comfortable bed, private bath, and terrific view from our balcony. Ginny served a wonderful hot breakfast every morning and took time to make recommendations for restaurants, hiking and local wineries according to the guest’s interests. Ginny and Jamie are willing to provide the local history and current events of the Lake area. This is a place where you can do as much or as little as you want. We enjoyed our stay!

my husband and i spent 3 nights at the steamboat castle b&b and it was awesome....jamie and ginny  have put a lot of hard work and love into their b&b and it shows...the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, their is plenty of open space on the first floor to just sit around in a comfy atmosphere that looks out over the lake...there is a great guest kitchen downstairs in case you want to bring you food home at night after exploring the wineries and sit outside at the fire pit....the breakfast was the unbelievable with a table set to perfection.....(it was my birthday and ginny served my pancakes with a birthday candle) just little touches like that makes the difference....we loved the time spent there and so will you....

Birthday Weekend

My husband and I and another couple stayed at Steamboat Castle B&B for a weekend getaway in the Finger Lakes.  The location is great -  right on the lake and we enjoyed the sunrise each morning.  Ginny and Jamie are wonderful hosts - ready to assist with a day of activities!  The breakfasts were delicious and the attention to detail was appreciated.  I highly recommend staying at Steamboat Castle!

Wonderful stay!

Excellent seems to be an overused word these days but in the case of this B&B it certainly applies. Our hosts Ginny and Jamie were so nice and left nothing wanted during our stay. 
We stayed in the nicely appointed second floor Holmes room which offered a corner room with a spacious balcony overlooking Keuka Lake. It was so close to the water it felt as you were on a cruise ship without the swaying and offered excellent views. Every morning a superb breakfast was served that left you filled for whatever the days adventures held.
I recommend staying here highly.
Our whole experience at the Steamboat was terrific and we look forward to staying at this wonderful B&B again.
