Didn't like the room it was unacceptable. The front desk receptionist was very odd.

Checked into 3 rooms, all were unclean and gross

I was in Minot for a Lions Convention, and only needed an inexpensive clean room for two nights. I had stayed there for the last convention, before Covid, and the owner was in the process of fixing it up. When I checked in, the clerk said the log showed I had already checked in earlier. I was told if there was anything wrong with the room, they would take care of it. The room looked as someone had just checked out of it. I went back to the front desk and they gave me an apology, a different room, and an upgrade. The new room was fine and clean. There were no bath towels or washcloths, but they brought them up right away. The Hotel is suffering the same problems as many businesses, lack of employees. They have to split their staff between two locations. I don't hold that against them. The place has no extra amenities and because of that it was the cheapest place to stay, and only a block away from the convention hotel, which was over twice the price. It was fine for what I needed, and I would stay there again.

This is not a hotel.  It is a home for homeless people.  Please do not come here thinking it's an economical hotel.  We were worried when we first arrived, but once we got into our room we knew.  We left immediately.  Do NOT stay here!!

Not a hotel - a home for homeless population

Oh my god, do your self a favour and don't stay here.  When we checked in we were told by the man at the front desk that my credit card would be charged again when I checked out despite having paid already.  We then went to our room.  Toilet wasn't bolted down to the floor and no light in the bathroom.  Shower didn't work and water alternated between scalding hot and ice cold.  Bedsheets weren't clean so we slept in quilts and pillows from home.  Prostitute outside our room.  Public washroom smelled like a dead person in there (no exaggeration).  No one on duty at front desk Friday.  Someone checked us out so when we got back to the hotel we couldn't get in our room.  Had to call a Texas number (paper left on front desk) to get someone to let us in.  Cellie, who we spoke to on the phone was not someone who should be in the service business; she was abrupt and rude.  Someone finally showed up to let us in.  He tried to put us in a different room -  the first smelled like vomit and urine.  The second had a broken bed and multiple holes in the carpet.  He said we were better off to stay in our room close to the desk where he can keep an eye on us (this left me terrified).  Do your self a favor and stay somewhere else

Stay from hell

Well I didn’t stay at the Guest Lodge, I was there at 3 pm to check in and nobody showed up, Expedia even tried getting in contact and still nobody.  At  around 11 pm someone had called me from the guest lodge to see if I was going to check in I had let the man know on the phone that Expedia stepped in and got me another room. I would like my refund from the Guest Lodge, as I never got service there. It only seems right. I’m very displeased with the way The Guest Lodge handles there business and customers. Id Hope in the future no other customers have to go through this.

Worst hotel I have ever been in. No towels, filthy, vomit on window screen. Smoke alarm torn off wall, wrapped in old plastic bag hanging from a wire. Bedspreads badly torn and very very dirty. Zero amenities available in rooms. Even had to bring own toilet paper. Front desk microwaved a pizza in middle of check in. No I am not kidding.  We were booked for 2 nights, decided to move on after one night for fear of possibly being murdered in the night. Signs all over lobby stating no refunds no matter what, as well as signs stating there are extra charges if you leave any trash outside in the hallway. Speaking of hallway, there were next to no functioning lights in the hall.  Not sure how this business is allowed to operate.

Unbelievably terrible , run in the opposite direction as fast as possible.

They had no staff, and it was dirty. I made the beds and cleaned the room myself. This place should be condemned.
