Clean room, good area and office staff is very friendly. Beds are comfortable, sheets are clean. Overall a very good stay for the money. Would recommend this property again for families or if your traveling on a cruise. I’m used to Motel 6 being just ok. This property was beyond ok. Very clean, and welcoming.

Our reservation got canceled without notice, even though our credit card was holding it. We came to checkin at 9:30pm, & the front desk man said he had no vacancy & that he canceled our reservation at 8pm. So pretty much we have no where else to sleep. There was nothing in our confirmation email that said you have to apparently check in by 8pm. Our email did say to check in after 3pm & before 4am. So why was our reservation canceled, AND WITHOUT NOTICE TOO. I believe the property manager/front desk cancelled it on his own, not following business policy. Now it's 10 pm & we're driving another 20 min to another hotel. Such terrible hotel management.

Doing chemotherapy so have been staying at motel 6 for some time now.  we have 2 dogs and they stay free here, so it's usually our first choice.  First time stayng here, May 25th and 26th, room 101. In the middle of the night my wife found something on the pillow,  thought it was a piece of lint, till it squished in her fingertips.  the next afternoon I told her scratch my back it really itched.  that's when she noticed bites going down my back and torso.  Three bites and then another three bites, then a few more. Neither of us have ever encountered bed bugs, so we didn't realize what had occurred right away.  Called Corporate. to advise of issue encountered,  then contacted owner,  who was in full denial.  He told me inspector had already came and report sent to corporate.   In regards to a refund, he advised I would have to get a lawyer.  You live and learn,  and now I've learned no matter how clean it appears,  always be sure to check your mattress before you fully unpack,  and if you do find any evidence of neglectful cleanliness, make sure to document and save all you find, you may have to use it in court.

Honesty is the Best Policy!

We were pleasantly surprised with this motel!  I loved the mid-century vibe, the porch/veranda, the purple exterier lights (for ambiance), the size of the room.... everything was very nice - and the owners were friendly.  Two things were missing that I would have appreciated; facial tissue (kleenix) near the sink area and a soap dish in the shower. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice to have those things. We'll definitely stay here again in the future.

This place definitely looks better in the picture than what you get inside. First of all, the front desk guy with short arms was very unfriendly and didn't even say hello. He couldn't even crack a smile. Then when trying to open the door, I couldn't when pushing the handle down, which is the case most of the time. I had to go back and tell the front desk guy. He told me I had to pull the door handle up. That was a first for me. Why didn't he tell me that at first. I'm sure many people would've had problems opening the door. Then the room smelled funky. It looked clean but on closer inspection you could see that they didn't clean the floors and the bathroom thoroughly. The worst part, which really made me hate this place, was my neighbor who had his TV blaring with Donald Trump rallies all night long. The walls are so cheap and thin that I cold hear the stupid TV as if it were in my room. I couldn't even sleep!!!! Then, another neighbor, maybe the same one, was masturbating and then I had to hear that crap. Another bad thing about the place is that it's right on the highway, so you hear all the cars roaring by all night. Again, this was my worst hotel stay ever! I highly recommend against it!!!!!

Worst hotel stay ever!!

We asked for a room away from the main road. Made a difference in the amount of noise. The rooms have been remodeled. The room is clean and the bed was comfy for a Motel 6.
I read a review that complained about the hotel staff. We found that not to be true. They were busy, but very helpful and polite.

Good value

Motel 6 is what it is, a functional motel room, with the most basic of amenities. The chain has completely modernized their rooms with contemporary, IKEA like furnishings. This is one of those properties. It actually was an old indie roadside motel on PCH brought into the Motel 6 fold. I’ve seen this often lately. Keep in mind that Motel 6 really has upped its game to remain competitive against the industry.

As for giving 4 stars, it’s based more on value and overall cleanliness. If I could give a 1/2 Star to make it 4 1/2, I would. There were just a few minor flaws, but nothing drastic and actually in line for a motel of this caliber. Some of the wall outlets were askew and not flush. The entry door was on the funky side, but I still felt safe. One of the blinds had a broken solar. The tub wasn’t curved, but the shower curtain was meaning water got all over the floor. I get why they put a curved curtain, but the tub needed to be replaced to match. There were a few minor blemishes on the walls too. Someone also damaged the top of the TV, allowing white light to show. Again, nothing major.

The TV is huge and has a nice channel lineup. The audio can be an issue as it has multiple sound channels (English, Spanish, Descriptive Video) and it can be random. I’d never watched a show with DVS though. 

This bed was very comfortable.  Not luxurious, but firm and functional. Slept well. Would have liked more pillows though. Again,  not a deal breaker.

Price was right compared to others in the area. 

Free WiFi was fast and worked great.

I’d stay here again.

OMG, by necessity I have stayed at some pretty funky Motel 6's, but this one wasn't even in the same universe. The room was super modern and clean and the bathroom was like heaven after a long road trip. The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly even though we got there late. My only complaint is the heater and the refrigerator were both very loud. If I hadn't have been so tired, I would have gotten up and unplugged the mini fridge and called it a day, but we were stuck with the loud heater. All in all, first world problems and it would in no way stop me from staying there again. We checked in late and left early so I don't have any other tips.
