Terrible in every way 🫤
The lock in the door didn’t work -
Had to call the manager, as breakfast wasn’t set out - 
Apparently, having staffing issues…
The room was clean - that’s about all I can say about the place; however, I’ve never stayed in a hotel that had pink sheets!!!!!
Wouldn’t stay there again - didn’t feel safe. 

Don’t stay there unless you’re desperate 

Absolutely the worst place...no pool and I question everything about the place.. unkempt grounds.No manager to speak with on promises to complain to and of course no other place to go...website is a farce

Make this your last absolute choice. My husband and I stayed here while visiting friends who live in the town. Unfortunately the Super 8 did not have any pet rooms available so this was our only option. The outside is run down and crumbling apart, there appears to be no landscaping maintenance done. If you have pets please watch them, and what they might get into. Our dog ingested some type of drug paraphernalia, and we ended up taking her to the vet. When you walk into the building it smells damp and musty. There is no one at the desk to help with anything, the staff is mainly all at the Gateway Plaza which is also owned by the same people. The door handle broke the first night we arrived, the room smelled and was also damp and musty. I’m so happy I brought our own bedding and pillows! The bed was not too uncomfortable, but slightly firmer than I’d prefer. The shower head needed to be replaced, if it didn’t have a wash cloth over it than it just sprayed water everywhere. Positives of the room was the microwave and fridge.  Other than that it was not an enjoyable stay.

Just don’t!

Well where to start. Hmmm. You will love the exterior of the building, as you approach it looks like a building from a post apocalyptical movie set. peeling paint, screens held on with duck take, dirty stains all over the exterior. Peeling stucco and rotting wood. But the giant penguin is cool. When you enter the main lobby you are greeted with a hand written note ( many actually) to call ( no one is ever at the front I have been staying here for work for 2 weeks)  

The doors are all off hinge, so you have to lift and slam them shut just to get them to close. There are stains on the walls in the room all over. In my microwave I discovered a breakfast sandwich that looks like it had been in there for some time now. No vent in the bathroom so don't go #2 before you need to shower, oh but there is some cute picture on the door held on with scotch tape, it is to cover the whole in the door. 

There is no smoke detector in the room, I do not mean one with no batteries there simply is not one there. The mini fridge has no shelves in it, not a single one. The pillows are literally folded sheets placed in a pillow case, the sheet on the bed is some odd fuzzy thing and the blanket i do not even know how to describe it.

Oh did I mention the homeless people who sleep in the main lobby! :) or the drunks who come in at midnight and are up till 4am ?  

oh back to smoke detectors, the main lobby has one, the battery has been dead for the last 2 weeks they just finally put one in. 

And to top it all off, today 5/27/2021 when i got done working there is now no hot water and so far as I can tell they have done nothing about it.

WOW just WOW

We picked this motel because the Super 8 down the road had to cancel our reservation due to a Covid-19 case of one of their workers. There is not much choice in Cut Bank. The Glacier Gateway Inn definitely had no curb appeal due to the weeds growing in front. The manager was a man of little words upon check-in. Not typical American hospitality. The room was spacious and looked fine. Except for the outdated decorations such as a strange looking decorative crown molding. Because the room was closer to the back door, we used it to off-load our SUV. The back door was extremely dirty with years of accumulated grime and did not close. The room had two beds; one had a cracked head board. Apparently there had been a smoke detector mounted on the ceiling but only the base was still there. The detector was missing. One piece of furniture had a big hole in the back. it was probably to fit a 1960's style CRT TV. (TV with a picture tube). Outside the window was a large piece of sheet metal on the lawn and the bug screen of the window was leaning against the building. The bed was comfortable and we had a good night's sleep nevertheless. It looks like the owner has given up on this motel. We would not recommend this place.

Not maintained.

Gross! Gross! Gross! Do not stay here. Uncomfortable beds. Disgusting building. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck!!!!!!! Throw a bunch of old furniture into a room. I am just sickened. Its the only place available on our way to St Mary’s - Glacier.

Stayed here in July 2016 on our way to Glacier National Park.  We'd been camping for a week straight and stopped to see the penguin.  On a whim, my wife ran in to check the prices, and when we figured out it was only a bit more than the campsite we were thinking we had to stay at, we jumped at the chance.

This hotel is OLD and OUTDATED.  But the rooms are a good size, the beds were soft (especially after a week of sleeping in a tent), the showers worked great.  There's food nearby, including a mart across the street.  And the price is very reasonable, cheaper than anything we'd seen when we tried to use one of those hotel apps to check out nearby places (this one wasn't on the apps).  

The staff were nice, especially to our two young kids (2 and 4 at the time), and we were very glad that we stayed.

Come for the Giant Penguin, Stay for the Night!

When checking in, I was impressed with how this place had been “refreshed” and the rooms weren’t bad.  Although the pool is an indoor pool, it was closed due to the season.  They don’t heat it.  The room was clean, but 2 lights out of 3 above the sink were out so I had to call for service.

When I was going to make coffee, I found a used, dried pod in the basket. When the coffee maker didn’t work properly, I called the desk and was asked to bring it down for an exchange.  After getting there, the manager made a show of telling me that I had the basket in wrong.  After trying to explain that I never COULD remove the filter basket (to have re-inserted it incorrectly) and that housekeeping hadn’t cleaned it (hence the dried pod), she kept cutting me off telling me that I was the one doing it wrong.mmi asked her to stop and let me finish what I was trying to tell her and she said “no...that she was telling ME”.  She also excused her attitude by telling me that she hadn’t had a day off in 4 1/2 months.  At that point, I was upset and told her to forget the whole thing.

Rude and not customer satisfaction focused.  Unfortunately, about the best you get in Cut Bank.  Room checking needs more attention.

First impression was good....but....

When I drove up to this hotel I didn't like what I saw from the outside.  Like judging a book by it's cover.  I walked in and asked to cancel my room.  The gentleman was very nice and asked if I wanted to see the room first. I said ok, and was so glad I did.  The room was really nice, beds and bathroom were clean, and beds comfortable.  We ended up staying for a couple of days while visiting Glacier and I'll have to say the breakfast was good, the staff was excellent, and we had a great stay.  I would stay here again without hesitation.

Don't discount this hotel, like I did!

I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. Still hair on the floor in bathroom from previous tenant, floor was filthy, carpet not vacuumed. No device to hold coffee filter the smell of stale cigarettes. Duck tape around frame of door. I am SHOCKED Expedia even had this on their list which makes me skeptical to use their services
