My name is Mark Carter and I have stayed here for a long period of time now receiving skin cancer treatment at the hospital which is going well. This motel is the very best in staff and location and extremely clean and best pricing in the area and makes this motel to stay A for the grade of Bozeman comfortable stays. Don’t believe slandering people leaving bad reviews on this place. If you want Beverly Hills hotel, stay in California with the rest of your liberal associates

excellent location, close to expressway, in the midst of downtown area, most restaurants make food deliveries too this motel, super hot shower, lots of cable channels, decent size rooms, reasonable weekly rates.

What you might expect. Nice location. The room and linen we're bleached clean. The owner is nice and a bit over friendly. There is a covered "porch" outside so that one might smoke their cigarettes in the brisk Bozeman mornings. Over all not too shoddy of a place. Tomie was great

Needed a room in a pricey town, but this one wasn't worth saving money on.  I's an old style place, still uses keyed locks which fit loosely.  One of the two beds had a mattress so bad it should be burned immediately. Thankfully, the other one was passable. There is no ice, coffee, or anything else as the office doesn't open when most people get up to leave.  Keep looking.

Just a tired room

This hotel is now called the Bozeman Ranch Hotel.

Room:  The queen bed had a comforter with a large stain on it.  This caused me to inspect the bed further.  I found more stains on the mattress cover.  There were only 2 small pillows provided.   The floor on the bed side of the room had been updated, but the bathroom and shower floor were in such poor condition with abrasions and such that you could not determine if it was clean or not.  The blinds would not close fully ensuring privacy could not be had in this room as anyone walking by would be able to see you in the bed.

Security:  The bathroom window was propped open with 2 bars of soap, presumably to assist with the musty smell.  This is a ground floor room and an open window is a security issue.

Feel of the hotel:  There were two neighbors in adjoining rooms sitting outside their rooms in camping chairs upon arrival.   One rode off on his bicycle shortly thereafter.  It appeared that several of the rooms were occupied by long term residents rather than overnight hotel guests.

We ended up turning the key back in within 20 minutes of arrival and moving to a different hotel.  The response received at the desk when the key was returned was, "Good luck finding another room".  It was a busy weekend in Bozeman so rates were high, but there is a reason the rates here are half of other hotels in town.   Beware.



Unacceptable hotel.  Stains on bedding, not secure, and little privacy.

Skip this place.  We chose it because it was the cheapest place in town and it showed. You will take a step back into the 1960's with no upgrades aside from a small flat screen TV. Shower head is low as is the water pressure. Be ready for a cat to walk into your room when you open your door. Old fashioned key may or may not work for you, it's a chance you take. In-window air conditioner is not adjustable.

Look Elsewhere

We reserved a room ahead of time as we were coming in after a 16 hour travel day and just needed a dry place to sleep as we arrived after midnight in a snowstorm.

Our room smelled of cigarettes, the floors were sticky/dirty and the shower had mold. I wouldn't recommend this place. I don't think it qualifies as even one star.

We stayed here last minute because the other hotels were filling up fast and the rates were sky-rocketing fast!

This is an old, run down place. It looks scary from the outside. There are only blinds on the windows that gape open at night leaving huge spaces wide open to peer in from the outside.

Honestly, not worth the $50-60 you will spend for a night.

There is no AC. It was cold when we arrived (latter part of September) and only a base board heater to heat the room.

The bed is old and rickety. You will not sleep well with the bed springs poking in your body. The room is not sound proof. You can hear the traffic zooming by.

There are no electrical outlets in the bathroom. No heat either. You have to run the water for at least 5 minutes before it gets warm. No tub. Just an old stand up shower. You will only get hand soap. No shampoo.

They do offer WiFi and HBO. Microwave. Fridge. Alarm clock. Some of the light fixtures don't work. The room phone doesn't work so you can't call the office.

If you can at all help it, look for another place to stay for the night.

Run Down, Springy Uncomfortable Bed...

I'm revising my review of the Ranch House Motel in Bozeman, MT. Yes it does look clean.  Yes it was cheap, but watch out for creature bites. At the time I typed my first review of the Ranch HOuse, I had a bug bite on my wrist, which I didn't associate with the motel.  We were driving home most of the day and so I wasn't exposed to insect bites.  By the time I reached home, several hours away, I had 9 large welts on my arms and 1 on my neck.They itched and burned like fire! They were diagnosed as spider bites.  Don't STAY THERE. It took almost 2weeks! for those welts to clear up.  It's not worth the cheap price to stay there.
