My 2nd visit to this hotel, this time with a friend in a 2 Double Bed Studio apartment , last time a few years ago with my family over Christmas. Large, spacious room with added benefit of a kitchen area. Yes, starting to look a little tired in places but only superficial, much more importantly, the rooms (and whole hotel) were always immaculately clean and beds and bedding really comfortable, and fresh towels every day. In the perfect location on a quiet street in Murray Hill, it was so nice to come back to every evening after the crazy hustle and bustle of NYC. All the staff are really friendly, efficient and always ready to help with recommendations. I don’t know everyone’s name but thanks particularly to Kevin on the front desk and David at the door. The icing on the cake was definitely Vintage Green, the rooftop bar & restaurant. Amazing view from a beautiful space, with fantastic cocktails and the best Thanksgiving dinner we’ve had (3rd time in NYC for Thanksgiving). We have stayed in many hotels in New York but the Shelburne Sonesta is definitely now our number 1 and we will definitely be back.
