No24 Ventnor

We had an excellent stay at No 24 and particularly enjoyed the sunny garden, hospitality and the useful advice that we were given. We were fortunate that our stay coincided with the hottest day of the year and we were there for the Ventnor Fringe.

Top Lavazza coffee ! Said from an Italian man in town. Pop in by chance in this very nice place close to the parking and the super friendly owner offer me a good espresso . He knows his stuff in football too and predicted 2 1 Vs Holland! C'mon England in Euro 2024. Emanuele 

We came upon this bar on our first evening.   I wanted to try an espresso martini so we ventured inside this small but perfectly formed, characterful wine bar.  It was obviously frequented by locals who all knew each other and we wondered whether we would feel a bit out of place.  On the contrary.  Everyone was very chatty and we were soon joining in the conversation and feeling comfortable and welcome.  Subsequently, we. visited this bar most evenings during our 7 night stay in Ventnor.  Brian was so helpful, advising places to go, things to do and local. eateries.  The drinks were so reasonably priced, there was nowhere else comparable.  Brian was always happy to chat and share funny anecdotes and the people coming in were relaxed and good humoured. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and nicely maintained. All in all a very memorable and enjoyable part of our holiday. Thank you!

Bar 24 is so friendly. We had a few really quality night at this very smart bar. Prices are reasonable and the banter flowed. It is centrally located on the Main Street, Brian the patron very kindly lays on some Indian on Friday evening. We ShLl be back.

Absolutely superb little bar the host cold not be more welcoming. If you want a sweet little boozer on holiday can’t go wrong and the peroni is cheap! Would recommend. Would definitely return hero Ed every second it says a lot when it’s the place the locals hang out

My two girlfriends and I booked a table for the England game, Brian squeezed us in last minute and I’m so glad he did. 

Great atmosphere, Brian was warm and welcoming, very funny and our first round was very kindly on him! He dished out hot sausage rolls at half time, which were delicious, and kept us entertained all evening. 

Matthew behind the bar was lovely too and all the locals were very friendly. All in all a fabulous evening, thank you for your kind hospitality, just try and get rid of us now Brian! X

What a find, superb bar in Ventnor and Brian is a great host, very hospitable and knowledgeable of the area. The location is on the high street and close to the shops and restaurants. Great vibe and atmosphere especially when interacting with the locals. Thank you Brian for making us feel so welcome👍

The owner was super friendly and told us so much about where to go in Isle of Wight which was very friendly. A great place to watch the football and great atmosphere - 10/10 would recommend! Even brought us half time snacks. Thanks very much for a lovely evening

Can't say enough good things about No.24. We had such a lovely stay. Fab location, right in the centre of town, lovely room, very clean and modern. The best thing by far though is Brian, he couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming, such a nice guy, made our stay special!

We were staying nearby and went to the bar most evenings. Great venue!
Brian and the locals were very pleasant and helpful. Drinks are so reasonably priced. Best drinking venue on the Island! 
Would definitely recommend this venue 😁👍

This is not a hotel but rather a few rooms above a bar.  It is generally clean and adequately maintained.  Very unusual and quirky.

Rooms are all fine but some are a little small. There are lots of (narrow) stairs to negotiate so do need to be fit-enough for that.  There was quite a lot of noise in early morning, from the road out front or service area to the rear.  But this may not bother early-risers

Owner was very helpful, including in sorting out secure storage for our bikes.

From the moment we walked through the door we felt like family. The reception is in the bar and the locals are very friendly full of fantastic local knowledge! The rooms are great, bathroom & shower fab & clean! We may have made a little noise during our romantic weekend away - however zero complaints received from the most charming host, Brian. Great weekend, thanks - we will be back! 

Dirty Weekend!

We stopped by for one night as part of our cycle round the island. Arrived sopping wet, looking like a right pair but recieved a very warm welcome, including a place for us to store our bikes. We stayed in room 2, which was great and exactly what we needed. Nicely furnished and very comfortable. Popping downstairs for a drink after drying off was great, a lovely atmosphere in the bar. Thanks for having us! 

Great stay 

Thank you so much to Brian and Lloyd for being such welcoming hosts- the bar is super cute and serves an absolutely fantastic pint of Peroni! Perfect to enjoy after a long day at the hot beach.

Preferred No24 compared to the the bars on the esplanade, which lack the charisma this place has.

Very much look forward to returning when next in Ventnor- Fabio
