Absolutely amazing memorable stay in a beautiful rural welsh village, please disregard the negative comments, the hosts could not be any more accommodating, thanks for a lovely time, landlord and landlady are accommodating and passionate in what they do

The place isn’t the ritz,,, but ideal for our group of lads that were on a stag do quad biking and white water rafting nearby,,, the staff were superb, the owner was a really friendly lovely guy,,, the drinks were cheap, you didn’t need a band as the locals provided enough entertainment, never laughed so much in years, plenty to do nearby, the breakfast was amazing! 

Stayed here with a group of friends. Rooms were clean and tidy, showers and toilets are basic but again very clean. Saturday night was brilliant, live music ( we all agreed it was the best band we’d ever heard). The locals made for a great evening, we were all made welcome. Breakfast set us up for the day ahead. 
The only downside was, the swimming pool and gym were closed for maintenance.
If you want to enjoy quality accommodation and people, this is the place to stay. 5 stars guys, thank you all

For the £25 a might you pay, you cannot argue it. The hosts are lovely friendly people and sorted out the issue with the rooms straight away.  (we were missed sold from the company we booked through, not the landlord) 
If you're booking a stag this is a perfect place to stay! Cheap drinks, nice views and plenty to do near by!

If you have ever watched a horror movie based in a outback village then you get what to expect. The rooms in the hotel brought back memories of A young offenders institute, even down the hearing the squeaky Bunk beds at 3 in the morning as ben was flicking his bean. In the morning our first breakfast was served by Mavis who had previously been on a bender and was sweating out her previous night debauchery all over our food. Cuttlery had a years worth of food already on them so we had plenty to eat. Mavis presented our food and the eggs were resembling a burnt rubber tyre and the toast was so hard we could have used it to fend off the locals. To be fair beer was cheap, the locals were funny and we were constantly drunk meaning our vision and perception were giving us the opinion that the place was the bomb. Day 2's breakfast was actually really good. During the corona virus obviously we were worried about social distancing until we realised that the locals were really keen to keep there Distance anyway and when we arrived home we were gonna isolate for 7 days anyway just to recover from the crazy weekend and also just to be sure we didn't catch some sort of rare disease from the hotel beds. All in all this is a quality place to stay if you want to experience a time that man forgot and a place that is stuck in the past. Brilliant

Stayed here last night with 6 pals on a stag night. Rooms are warm and clean. Hosts couldn't do enough for us from the minute we arrived. Locals made us feel welcome. Woke up this morning to a gorgeous fry up breakfast. Great friendly  atmosphere and would highly recommend if your looking for a group ov you stay in the wrexham area. 

Had a great time here. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere, Covid compliant. Excellent value drinks, supportive and extremely helpful staff. Rooms were in good clean condition, as described (bunk beds/ shared rooms etc).  Clean beds/ bedding and towels provided. Basic shower and toilet facilities- perfectly good for the job- decent hot water supply. Breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day.

The surround scenery was spectacular with some impressive walks/ trails very close by.

The staff and locals completed a really cool, enjoyable weekend- thanks so much!

This is a Superb base from which to attend events across the area, into England and also Mid Wales. Recommended - would visit again!

I was pleased to be able to get a room here at short notice. Yes it's an old pub. I had a very pleasent and comfortable room. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Clean all round.

We loved our 2 night stay here. We paid £30 a night (over new years) we wasn't expecting much for the cheapest hotel in the UK. However our experience outwighed the usual standards you would expect from a hotel. We had a large room on the top floor. Couldn't hear anyone down stairs and they closed up around 1 (they give you a extra key if you wanna stay out) they allowed my dog for only a extra hours worth of cleaning (£7) plenty of storage for clothes. The hotel is dates and needs a make over. The cleaning needs addressing if you want to keep people returning. This was our only downfall (we didn't complain as we seriously couldn't care but others would) my daughter who's 1 kept find such random things, a false, suspicious looking plastic bags, broken headphones, bottle caps. These where mostly in draws and under the beds. Rooms need a good scrub of the walls and furniture. Area is lovely plenty to do for the day with kids and plenty around in local areas to keep you busy. Tescos 5min walk. A couple of other pubs. This one was the best with live music and friendly staff, pool table,darts and just a overall amazing local pub. I wish they would give the hotel the love it needs but in this day and age they just don't get the customers

Stayed here for a friends stag. Arrived and staff gave us a friendly welcome helped us find the location for the activities we were taking part in. We had a meal pre-booked but wouldnt advise it as the chips that came with the meal were undercooked.
The rooms were brilliant spacious and well lit bedding was comfy and bathroom was clean and spacious. View was amazing locals were very friendly
