We had the most wonderful weekend here celebrating my Husbands 40th Birthday.
We were in a group of 17 adults and 6 children and we had so much fun.
On arrival, we were greeted with a wonderful hamper of wines, coffees and biscuits etc. Every room was beautifully presented and supplied with towels, robes, and toiletries. A highlight was the 2 peacocks roaming around the garden every day.
We loved lighting the open fires each evening and taking a dip in the hot tub.
Everyone in our group commented on how relaxed they felt and we were all genuinely sad to leave. We are already looking to book again.

We were invited to Low Graythwaite Hall to celebrate a friends 60th. It was a surprise to all 13 people in the group. The place is just stunning. We were allocated the Catbells room, wow what a bed. The room was amazing. Lots of space but still feels very cosy & homely. We spent an amazing time here. Thank you

This 16th century nine-bedroom hall is a really classy centre of excellence in the southern Lake District...a bit like the classy centre of attention who celebrated his 70th birthday there. The weather at the beginning of March was wild so we were banking on the place to give us a safe haven between walks. And it did. In spades.
From the big range in the kitchen, through to the games room, the beautiful dining room all laid out for the 11 of us (plus baby Charlie), to the sitting room with its log-burning fire and bay window seats, it was stunning. But not SO stunning to be intimidating. It's easy to find from the M6 and parking in the four-acre grounds is ample. We arranged for local cook Amanda Brayshaw to do a dinner for us on our first night. It was a triumph. A lovely celebration and quite delicious three-courses. Nearby is clay pigeon shooting organised by Tim and Matt from CBA Events. This is a must if you have time. It makes a fantastic two-hour experience with a fire pit to keep warm and tea, coffee and nibbles in a toasty wooden hut. Tim and Matt keep the laughs going along with the cartridges.
And so to bed. We spread our 11 party-goers and Charlie throughout the Hall, taking the whole house with just one room unoccupied. The bedrooms are all very different and rather lovely. In fact, we had so much fun we're thinking of a quick return for No1 Son's 50th.

I booked this for my hen party in Sept 19 and it was absolutely beautiful. The house is large, bedrooms are nicely decorated, comfortable and good sizes and the grounds are lovely. On arrival all my friends kept asking me was how I had managed to find such a lovely place! The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, the dining room was stunning and already set for 18 of us and you get a manual in the entrance way to answer any questions. Contact leading up to our visit was excellent and they answered any questions we had and they provided us with a mobile number incase we needed any help while we were there. We also booked activities to take place within the grounds through CBA events (a company not connected to the house as such) and did duck herding and archery.

I booked the Hall for my 70th birthday for 2 nights for my family. I wanted something unique and special to create some lasting memories for myself and my family.
It did not disappoint in any way at all. It is a gorgeous place. The reception rooms are large comfortable beautifully presented and welcoming. The owners had set out the dining room for dinner for all my family. It was just amazing. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. My bedroom was just gorgeous with a huge comfy bed large sofa fireplace lovely bathroom. Every single bedroom was just beautiful. We had exclusive use of the whole place and the stunning grounds. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to create a unique and memorable experience.

My wife and I spent a long weekend at Low Graythwaite Hall with a group of friends. Without a doubt one of the most enjoyable and unforgettable breaks we have ever had. The Hall itself is stunning, and Rebecca and Phil were the perfect hosts. My only complaint is that I don't yet know when we will be able to return … Would recommend totally and without reservation.

My husband and I had the most fantastic stay at Low Graythwaite Hall.  We were bowled over by how beautiful the location is (the views are stunning!)  and the character of the Hall.  The bedrooms are of the most cozy and beautifully decorated. Rebecca and Phil were charming and looked after us by recommending the best walks, cycle routes and cosy pubs/restaurants. I would  recommend this to anyone who wants a real treat and to clear your mind and be around nature and quiet.  They do group bookings and I will be booking it for a special occasion soon. It was a trip of a lifetime.

I hired Low Graythwaite Hall as a surprise 50th birthday weekend away for my husband. It was everything that I hoped it would be and so much more! From my first contact with Rebecca she made it a pleasure. The Hall, grounds and location were all wonderful. All the bedrooms were beautiful and made choosing one very difficult! We spent a lot of time in the main lounge and the roaring fire was a great bonus. The dining room was all set up for us and looked really amazing. We have had a long weekend full of smiles and laughter. We really couldn't ask for more. Thank you!

We had a varied group staying for Halloween weekend to celebrate a 50th birthday - and the house was perfect for that!  The dining room was all laid out for us as Rebecca and Phil new we were celebrating a special occasion.  The rooms are all really nice and the log fires an added bonus for a cold evening.  Rebecca and Phil are a great couple who have the balance of showing you all you need but not being intrusive.   The walks around the lake are fabulous with scenery to die for.  There were a couple of issues from those staying at the top of the house - but its a very, very old house and to be expected.  We stayed in Tethera which didn't have any of these issues - and the decor in all rooms more than made up for any water pressure issues.   My tip would be bring your own wood as the complimentary basket will not last a weekend.   There were 18 of us and everyone has said they'd like to make it an annual event, it really was a fabulous find!
