Where to start? 
This room (7) is drop dead gorgeous. Roll top copper bath, HUGE for poster bed, big shower and lovely big room.

It’s decorated perfectly with loads of individual features. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, what else could I have!

I felt like a Princess in this room!

Previously stayed in Wimborne but not at 1777. When we were unable to book our usual accommodation, we stumbled across this 'gem' and what a find it was. Rooms are fantastic - both the standard and superior are full of character with breakfast being served at the Olive Branch which is just around the corner. Staff are welcoming and attentive and the breakfast is not to be missed. Just home from our 2nd visit and we will definitely be back in Wimborne & will stay at 1777. 

We were so lucky to have found this place. We booked on the off chance and were delighted. The room was amazing. There was so much attention to detail. We loved the live images of the Minster on the TV and the bath in the bedroom. Highly recommended. We will definitely return.

rooms with character, comfortable bed , selection of teas coffee and hot chocolate in the room .centre of town. Breakfast in he nearby olive branch was lovely and included in the price. Highly recommended , Sarah in particular made us feel very welcome and helped us out with late check in as we were arriving late . 

A lovely place to stay in Wimborne, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The bath was so beautiful and bed fit for a king. 

The only sad thing was that a hot cooked breakfast wasn't included only continental, which seemed a little mean considering the price of the room.

We needed a room last minute during Easter weekend. Lady on the phone was extremely friendly and helpful. Stayed two nights in room 3 (standard) and two nights in room 6 (luxury).  Receptionist was honest about the small size of room 3. When we arrived we expected it to be smaller. Small but cosy. Room 6 was bigger but with window on High street (so a little bit of street noise). 
We absolutely loved our stay!

Booked for a weekend away ,loved the rooms , very comfortable, very unique and quirky makes a change from the usual , we booked room number 1 the Thomas hardy room , plenty of nearby pubs and cafes but the olive branch is by far the best , would definitely visit again

What a wonderful place to stay we had room 4 with is not in main building,  which we loved as had your own front door straight outside . Room was beautiful,  lovely and clean.
Also would be ideal for anyone with disabilities as no stairs , car right there and bathroom was kitted out with every disabilities aid .
Great location right in the heart of such a lovely town .
Definitely recommend and would love to go back .

Just home after 2 nights at 1777, the rooms are beautiful decorated, comfortable beds and clean. Staff are extremely helpful! We will be back!  Great location in the town. The largest rooms are in the main building, we had a double bed with a camp bed. The room with the copper bath in is beautiful!

I suppose I didn’t really know a lot about The Albion and was mildly surprised that all food and drink was served at the sister location. It wasn’t a problem as the Olive Branch is only a short walk away. At reception, I was greeted by a charming lady who showed me to my room which was well appointed although a little cramped. My only negative comment would be the smell of drains that permeated the room during the night.

The food at the Olive Tree is adequate although I was disappointed that 3 of the dishes on a fairly limited menu were not available.

Full credit for a nice breakfast served by a delightful lady.

Do not miss 1777 at the Albion 

… no normal coffee - only decaf. 

We stayed here after getting married earlier in the day. Spoke to Sarah a year before our stay and she was so helpful. 6 rooms booked. No deposit required.  We stayed in one of the superior rooms with the copper bath. Room was beautiful. 
I love a coffee late in the evening and first thing in the morning. Unfortunately the tray hadn’t been stocked up and we only had decaf. 
My wife - sounds weird saying it now - had a bath in the copper bath in the morning and thank goodness she didn’t have it before bed. The tap didn’t stop dripping. We’d have had that all night. 
Unfortunately as lovely as a 4 poster is when a post blocks the tv it’s annoying. Neither of us had a clear view. But we weren’t there to watch tv. It was just nice to chill for a bit. 
These are just small niggles. The room really was lovely.

Beautiful room but….

Fantastic stay

Located only a few yards from Wimborne Minster, 1777 at the Albion used to be a pub in the centre of town.  It is now a handful of rooms converted very well from what might have been a stable block. So, the door to our room opened directly onto the outside alleyway and free parking area.  It was a reasonable sized room with a good bathroom with a shower and a comfortable 5-foot double bed. There wasn’t much space, but enough to hang some clothes, store a suitcase and a small desk/dressing table.  The room was beautifully furnished and had only recently been refurbished.  From the big screen TV, to lovely scatter cushions, to a Roberts Radio and fast free Wi-fi, there was a lot to like.  Perhaps nicest of all was a very warm welcome from Sarah, and a small garden where we could sit out and enjoy a bottle of our own chilled white wine in the summer sunshine.  The location was quiet and very convenient for wandering around the town.  But there is nobody on the premises in the evening and breakfast is a 5 minute walk away at the other end of the town – and only served from 8 am.  We had an early start, so we never even go to see the breakfast.

Lovely quirky rooms with character, comfortable and clean.would highly recommend and definitely would stay here again 

We stayed in room 10 which was really spacious and comfortable. The copper bath was amazing. Filled up very quickly and lovely to relax in at the end of the day.
The room is quite dark, so I think an upgrade to the lighting would be good and also the shower does tend to go freezing cold and then boiling hot every couple of minutes. Probably a faulty thermostat. Also privacy glass on the bathroom windows would be nice. 
These are little niggles though and did not detract from our stay which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff are lovely. Free parking was really welcome and we never had any problems finding a space. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate & biscuits were supplied and housekeeping were more than happy to top up or supply extra if required.
We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again. Wimbourne is a fantastic little town. Good range of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. I particularly recommend Renoufs. We had a fantastic evening there, but to be honest, everywhere we went was welcoming and the range of restaurants is really good.
