Our stay in Durdle Door Hotel very good experience, very large room and comfortable bed, very friendly and helpful host. Wonderful to be so close to the beach, for the early morning swim!

An overall great experience: sea views, friendly and helpful staff, very clean room with enough space, kettle with coffee/tea, TV and free wifi. Continental breakfast not included but very affordable in a lovely launge room. The location is perfect and very comfortable to reach anywhere by just walk. We will definitely repeat!

Comfortable, quiet and clean with a dra view. Staff really friendly and accommodating. We took out dog and they were able to supply bowls and towels for him. Hotel located perfectly a few minutes walk from the cove, cosstal walks, shops and pubs with plenty of parking.

This is a perfect example of what makes our HF Holidays so perfect. We got a taxi from the station to the hotel (as suggested, and arranged for us with a group of other guests on our return). We'd just missed the first walk around the village with other guests (as we'd spent all day traveling) but Mark made us most welcome and offered us tea and cake. After dropping our luggage off in our room (with lovely views) we wandered out to Lulworth Cove for great photos of the sun setting. 
For those not familiar with HF, you sit with fellow guests for gorgeous hearty meals each night, then enjoy fun, social activities (if you want). There was no pressure to get involved, but the Walk Leaders (who look after you throughout the whole stay) made everyone most welcome. 
There was a choice of 3 walks each day for all levels, and after another round of good food at breakfast, there is a great choice of sandwiches and snacks to take with you on your walk. As it was still in the winter season you could also take a flask of homemade soup with you. 
The, hotel, food and staff were first rate throughout and there are also excellent boot room facilities. We even had a very funny local folk singer one evening. This was a long way to travel to, but we do hope to stay again in the future.

We spent a weekend at this property which is one of many in the HF portfolio. Having been to several other HF houses over the past couple of years all of whom are good, this is easily the best, it has a wonderful setting in Lulworth Cove, the ambience of the house and facilities are first class, food is excellent, decor outstanding and all the staff are wonderful - a tribute the the effectiveness of house manager, Mark.

I have just returned from a fabulous stay in West Lulworth House! From start to finish all the staff were warm and welcoming. The hotel was spotless and very comfortable. Amazon location and lovely home cooked food! What more could you want! Thank you so much!!! 

We enjoyed a four day holiday here.  Our room was spacious and comfortable with excellent views.  It is well situated near the village and coast.  Three very knowledgeable and friendly volunteer guides led us on local walks.  The food was good.

We really enjoyed our week at this HF House.  Mark and Lisa work tirelessly to ensure everything runs smoothly.  The accommodation was spotless and comfortable with lovely views, we had a deluxe room in the annex over the bootroom.  Food was excellent.  Walk leaders, enthusiastic and caring.

I have just enjoyed a 4 night stay at West Lulworth House - a guided walking holiday.  This hotel is in a stunning location, management and staff are excellent - nothing is too much trouble and the food very good.  The Walk Leaders are knowledgeable, know the areas and the walks take in the wonderful scenery in the Dorset area.  I highly recommend HF Holidays and West Lulworth House and I will return.

I really enjoyed my 4 night stay at this hotel.  It is the best HF house I have ever stayed in.  The staff were excellent, Food was really good with a lot of choice and superb house salads. This house has been recently renovated so it is modern inside.  Good choice of drinks at the Bar with some really nice bottled ciders.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this to others although the guided walking is not easy due to the hilly nature of the Jurassic coastline.  Minor niggles, pool closed and water pressure in the bath and shower low.  Other than this a really lovely holiday in an excellent setting.  Visited at the end of September so area relatively quiet although I guess it could be hectic in the height of summer.  Free parking provided by the hotel on the car park over the road.

Perfect Hotel for Walking

A superbly managed HF house in a magnificent setting!

GREAT LOCATION

We had a 3 night stay at West Lulworth House. The house is fairly compact, but with ample space for the 30 or so guests.
The room was fairly small but well equipped and very comfortable.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The meals were excellent, with a good selection of breakfast and evening meal options. The packed lunches were also very good.
In an idea location for walking the coastal path and range walks.

Amazing hotel for HF Holiday

I recently spent a weekend at West Lulworth House - a two-day walking holiday and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience.  The House is in a beautiful location with great views, all areas and rooms are spotless, great food and lovely walks with great, knowledgeable Walk Leaders and friendly walkers. Excellent organisation with regard to the walks, a boot room to clean walking gear and great attention to all details. Management and staff professional and friendly, nothing too much trouble.  My first time on a walking holiday and I will certainly be returning to West Lulworth House and other HF locations.
