Lovely rooms, cleaned and well kept. Would recommend for 2 guests. Friendly staff and rustic charm. Nice to see they’ve kept it modern and fresh.  Would love to go back again! Bathrooms cleaned thoroughly.

A home cooked roast is always hard to beat but it's nice to have one made for you. The Scott Arms at Kingston was amazing. The best roast we've ever had out. The beef was perfectly cooked and loads off of it. The pork was shredded and full of flavour with a large piece of crackling. Lovely large fluffy Yorkshire puds. 6 different veg and excellent roast potatoes. 

Staff were welcoming (even though we had four wet and muddy dogs with us) and really helpful and friendly. 

We will definitely be back.

We ate at the Scott Arms twice during a short break to Dorset.   The menu is extensive and varied with a good choice for vegetarians.  The service was friendly and the food was tasty.  The beer garden has a fabulous view down to  Corfe Castle - we would definitely return.

Very nice one night stay whilst on our ealking holiday. Friendly helpful staff ,comfy bed  and hot bath was very welcome after a long days walking . Recomend thecsausage and mash for dinner ir eas delicious. Thank you 

We stayed in this lovely pub for two nights. The  pub itself was in a small village approximately 2 miles from Swanage. The pub dining area and garden has lovely views over Corfe Castle. There’s a large car park, and road parking outside the pub available. Our room was small but very clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and the breakfast very good. Highly recommended if you are looking for somewhere quiet and peaceful to stay with beautiful walks on the doorstep but with easy access to the towns and villages of Dorset.

We visited the Scott Arms for a few nights bed and breakfast again after a few years. It was exactly as remembered, except for the distancing measures which were well organised. The location is amazing with views down to Corfe Castle, Poole Harbour and beyond all the way to the New Forest in the distance - sublime. 
Our original visit was cancelled due to lockdown and the pub was very accommodating in rearranging to suit our own revised trip plan. 
Accommodation is comfortable and clean as are all the public area. At the time of our visit,  they were very busy but outside seating and good distancing was well managed. As with many similar businesses, the available menu was limited at the time of our visit. On Saturday and Sundays they open the jerk shack which serves superb Caribbean food and is very popular. 
I must make special mention of Laura and Charlie who went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable.

Lunch in their large garden area with stunning view of Corfe Castle and the surrounding area.  Delicious Ploughman's and sumptuous smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwiches. A bit pricey but excellent and the service very friendly.

Stayed for a night and ate in the pub.
Beer garden has lots of room and great view in distance of Corfe Castle.
It’s a traditional old pub and room reflects this, no modern clean lines here if that’s your thing. Bed was comfy enough and bathroom clean and good size. Great selection of teas and coffee making facilities.
Pub food was good enough, huge piece of battered haddock.
Breakfast only served for half an hour in morning, it also took over half an hour to be served. Pre ordering might be an idea for them to consider to avoid lengthy wait.
In summary, nice enough but don’t expect any luxury, room could do with a lick of fresh paint.

Arrived after a gruelling long walk and was met with a wonderful smile and efficient service at the bar, proceeded outside to the beer garden and the wonderful views across the valley towards Corfe Castle. Stunning views!

Then shown to my beautiful v comfortable room (TV tiny and antiquated though) wonderful coffee with cafetière in the room and sparkling and still water. 

Dinner choices limited - just ok pub grub.

Service fantastic however, the very friendly lady working behind the bar made time to chat with all the customers and was v interested in them having a good experience in the pub / hotel.

Quiet Weekend Break

Great location and extremely friendly helpful staff

Beautiful quaint hotel, small but cosy and quiet. The view from the restaurant is absolutely stunning, with Corfe Castle in the distance, and the restaurant and rooms are decorated nicely. The food was great although there were limited vegetarian options (but good options nonetheless!). Staff were friendly and helpful too.
