Had a really great dining experience, lovely fish and chips, the venison burger was the best I've had too!

Has got a really good feel to the place, like it has been there for many years serving countless generations.

Yum , yum, yum!  The Ferry Boat Inn is on a side street on the water. Sitting outside with a beautiful view and  eating delicious food doesn’t get better. The prawns were huge,  very fresh and juicy. The mussels in wine cream sauce were also fresh and so sweet. Delicious! Beer on tap was local and great. All in all a really treat, worth going off the beaten track.

What a great experience and lunch we had at the ferry boat Inn. It was a cold and very wet day...my daughter, son in law and grandchild Charlie came in to get a really warm welcome and wonderful food...thank you for your hospitality and lovely manner...we'll be back

Currently touring the NC500… amazing little inn right next to the seafront… just stopped for the night with my partner and the dog for some food and drinks and my gosh! 
The food was delicious! Considering I don’t really like seafood the haddock and chips was gorgeous! Bonus that it’s dog friendly too… and with our self sufficient camper van there’s an overnight parking stop just 5 minutes walk around the corner! If we ever come back up to the highlands we will definitely be returning  :)

I hate to give a bad review.  I guess there is something good to be said about a place that mainly has seafood but were sold out of almost everything.  I did try their fish n chips.  They were ok, flavor wasn't bad.  I skipped over and had the clam chowder.  That was the BEST clam chowder I had ever tasted.  The clams were plentiful and tender.  The flavor was fresh, seasoning perfect.  The young man who waited on me took care and pride in his work.  The atmosphere was charming with a nice view of the harbour.  I will be back!

Just popped in for a drink - very impressed witb service and protocols in place for COVID - many bigger establishments could learn a lesson!! STAFF friendly and attentio. To cleaning down tables etc.. Thank you

We went for a dinner there. Really nice staff was there. Super friendly and helpful. We had very delicious fresh sea food and very nice soup.you are great 👍super nice local whiskey also in there.super nice service.

Very nice little bnb above the pub. We had a really nice loch facing view, and staff were very friendly. Plenty of parking nearby too. We also used the restaurant and pub and both were great! Good location for Ullapool shops too. 

Just called in here for a couple of drinks when staying in Ullapool. Drinks were fine and service good. Quite busy when we visited and the bar has a good atmosphere. Would definitely call in again when up there. 

Only ate here, hubby had the mussels, I hade the hake. The food was lovely, the portions spot on and the lady who served us was really pleasant. The decor in the restaurant / bar was dated but the view was amazing, would definitely eat here again 😊

Yes the rooms are old and tired but bed clean and comfy, bathroom clean 
Tea and coffee in room and tv
Bar food was very nice 
Lovely breakfast and staff very friendly and welcoming 

Nice one night stay

At well over £100 for a single bed without breakfast this was always going to get a middling review. 
Pros: convenient for the ferry, friendly staff, clean and above a pub. 

Cons: decor tired, carpets threadbare, walls thin, no shortbread on the tea tray (as advertised), cracked shower base. 

I’m afraid this sums up the majority of UK hospitality nowadays.

Basics at a price

The two stars is purely for the good food which we couldn’t fault, though only one of the ten or so beer/cider taps were working. The Inn itself is abysmal. Stayed for one night fairly last minute with our dog which didn’t leave many options. Paid £120 for a double room, I would maybe give a slightly higher rating if the price was lower to reflect what you get. The room was very dated, stained carpet and missing patches of paint and plaster on the walls. Our room had a lumpy paisley armchair in the corner that was quite literally falling apart and looked and smelled to be older than the both of us combined. There were spots and marks on the bedding, the pillows were really hard and our double bed was two twin mattresses with at least an inch difference in height. The hotel stunk of smoke which gave me an awful headache. The bathroom was tiny and a big grimy, the shower spent five minutes alternating between boiling hot and freezing, before giving up and staying freezing cold - so had to wash my hair in icy water and there was no hairdryer.. Took ages to get to sleep as for some reason there was a lightbulb directly OUTSIDE our window!! And then was woken at midnight by other guests shouting, singing and banging around for hours. Couldn’t get out of here fast enough. Wish we’d saved our money and just slept in the car, would have been comfier, cleaner, quieter and darker. We’ve stayed in several places at this same price point in the highlands, 4* hotels and entire cottages included, this was so unbelievable it was almost funny

Terrible - save your money

This hotel is badly needing a major overhaul. We had water dripping in the bathroom light, damp walls, peeling wallpaper, damp bedding and missing glass in the hallway window. The final straw was the towels in the restaurant floor catching the water. The pictures on the website give a totally misleading impression of this harbour front establishment 

NEEDS A MAJOR FACELIFT

Beautiful location but it's a very tired inn in need of an upgrade and some TLC

The rooms aren't cheap so was shocked at the condition of the one I stayed in - the mattress was awful, the 1 pillow was literally a stone, the windows were so rotten they wouldn't shut which then let all the midges and noise in.....awful nights sleep

My room was up 2 flights of steep steps next to a door and a fire exit....heard everything all night....

It would have got a 1 star but the breakfast was good and the staff were lovely 😊

Would not stay here again or recommend and if you do book avoid room 7......

It's a nope from me....

We've eaten here twice at lunch time. Food is probably ££ but is decent. The two girls serving were polite and helpful. The inside is typical small pub. We would not avoid the place if we were just passing through Ullapool.
