Trewithian Farm B&B

We stayed two nights with our 8 year old granddaughter, who was entranced by the parrot (I wasn't so keen!) and the little fluffy dog. She was also taken to see the other farm animals (cows, pigs) and met the sheepdogs too. Breakfast was super - lots of fruit, juice, cereal, followed by a fine cooked plateful, with fried bread! Service was very prompt. Lovely cosy guest lounge, with fresh milk available in the fridge. Rather unimaginative biscuits in the rooms - someone in another review mentioned cake! Perfect location as we had family staying at the nearby Merrose Caravan Park. For meals, we drove to the nearest car park on the road into Portscatho, where it is a £1 to park after 6pm and just a 10 min walk into the centre. The only negative - we were in a family room on the ground floor and you could hear every footfall and toilet flush from the room upstairs. The people above on the first night made several huge crashes at about 10.30pm - goodness knows what they were doing, dropping suitcases on the floor? Not late, but it is for a child. The second night was much better - different guests perhaps. But I felt this wasn't really the owners fault (although perhaps the guests in the room above could be made aware that there is a family room below?) so have not marked the review down for that. We did not find the road noise a problem - it isn't busy at night.
