Lovely people, great service and comfortable room.

Very peaceful setting and wonderful hosts!

Terry greeted us warmly, and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely and laid back, just what we needed. We would recommend and look forward to staying there again soon.

We needed somewhere close to relatives as were attending a family funeral, and this lovely little B and B was perfect. The owners were absolutely wonderful, and allowed us to turn up early, use their facilities to get ready, offered us tea/coffee and even something to eat. This is proper good old fashioned customer service, they couldn't have been more welcoming. They even upgraded my friends room and moved her downstairs as she's old! The facilities are nice and homely, the rooms in great condition and very clean. The breakfast was amazing. Overall I'd give 6 stars, if I could. Wonderful place and wonderful owners.

Only neutral issue was the key to unlock the security gate to the car park as we were leaving very early in the morning.

Katherine made us feel so welcome we walked through the door. So helpful got us fresh milk for the morning. We mentioned the fridge wasn’t working and within a couple of minutes we had a new fridge in the room. Really nice and friendly place.

Good night sleep. Bed was comfortable however sides of bed were slightly uncomfortable kept feeling like was going to fall off. Service was great, room was quiet and they have TVs with YouTube and Netflix on, did not have breakfast it would come to this hotel again. Shower was big but door fell off. Managed to fix it, water pressure and temperature could be better. Was lovely and warm In the room and had loads of towels.

We had a great stay at this property. We had a family room which was really clean and comfortable. Easy and free to park. Staff really friendly. We also paid extra for breakfast which was amazing. Great selection and cooked food was made to order. Would stay again.

Good Experience

I had a lovely stay at Elmdon Lodge. My room was the single one but it had a decent bathroom, TV and a fridge. The downstairs kitchen was very useful. The owners were very friendly and extremely welcoming. Parking at the back was good and it was close enough to walk to Aldi or the high street with food options. I would definitely stay here again.

Elmdon Lodge is like home from home. Place is spotless with lovely comfortable beds etc. Katherine & Terry, go the extra mile to make your stay a flawless experience. When I get in the car to drive from London to Birmingham, I am so happy as I now know what to expect. I cannot recommend Elmdon Lodge enough.

Home from home

Katherine and Terry were so welcoming. We appreciated Katherine dropping us down to a great local Italian restaurant. They were able to accommodate us for an early 7am breakfast and made us feel very at home. It was like we were staying with family.
We stayed in the family room - the beds were very comfortable, the room was cosy and warm and  it was a great night's sleep. The following morning the breakfast was incredible. There were very generous portions and nothing was too much trouble for Katherine and Terry.

Helpful hospitality in bustling Birmingham.

Travel a lot in the UK, only stayed 1 night  and its probably the best UK guest house we have stayed in.
Katherine and Terry were amazing hosts, friendly, warm welcome great with our 5 year old grand daughter.
Room clean, cosy with everything you need, great selection of hot drinks and chocolate bars. 
Breakfast plenty of choice continental style with cereals,yogurt, fresh fruit pastries and full cooked breakfast. A choice of juices and hot drinks really delicious.
Lovely garden area would be nice to sit outside in warmer weather.
On site parking.
Will definitely recommend and stay again.
Location great,  less than 5 mins walk to the train station straight into the centre of Birmingham City in less than 10 minutes.

Great find, Amazing Hosts 

Just returned from two nights stay as we were visiting the NEC.  If we could have given more that 5 stars we would have.  What a lovely place!.  Katherine and Terry could not have made us feel more welcomed.  Katherine could not do enough for us, seeing to our every needs.  Terrys breakfasts were delicious.  The room was lovely and the beds were so comfortable.  Tv in the room with lots of channels to choose from.  There is a fridge in the room so we could keep any drinks we bought cold.  Tea, coffee, Hot chocolate and biscuits provided.   We honestly felt like we were staying with some long time friends.   Thank you Katherine and Terry and we will definitely be staying with you again if we are in the area.  Regards Mike and Susan Longson. 

What a fab find.  Home from home.

Stayed one night with two other guys in a triple room, after attending a day at the Edgebaston test match.
Mine hosts, Katherine and Terry were amazingly friendly and accommodating, so much so that we felt that we were staying at a friends house - which by the time of departure we were!!! They made a point of addressing all guest by their first names, which is a great touch!
Our room was spacious and spotless with lots of toiletries and tea/coffee, biscuits etc. Breakfast was also outstanding, with black AND white pudding included!
The garden area was great for a late night glass of wine…..and special mention to Son Rory for giving us a lift to the local station.
All-in-all an outstanding experience!

Outstanding Stay!!!

Not stayed at the Elmdon lodge since Jan 2020 due to the pandemic prevented the exhibition at the NEC from holding the event.
All Previous stays have been wonderful and this 4 day stay was the same and can not thank Katherine & Virginia enough.
I cant think of a single thing they could have done to make the stay more enjoyable & they go far more than that extra mile.
The Breakfast’s are fantastic all freshly cooked to order and the accommodation clean and very well presented and each year see’s constant re-investment due to there success 
The NEC and other attractions are within easy reach so would highly recommend stays at the Elmdon Lodge

Lovey stay

I stayed here in November 2022, travelling by myself. This can be a daunting experience however Katherine and Terry couldn't have been more welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The room was immaculate and breakfast was superb each morning with a wide range of options available, cooked to order. 

The rooms form part of the owners house and you're made to feel so welcome each day, with dinner and cooking facilities also available. 

It's situated down a quiet road too with parking available for those who need it. I arrived by train and its only a short walk to Acocks Green station. 

Overall, this is one of, if not the, friendliest guest houses I have ever stayed in, you feel like you're welcomed into the family and I will definitely book again!
