Alexandra Place Apartments

I have been here twice and had a very pleasant stay on both occasions. The owner is friendly and helpful and though the facilities are simple, the rooms are large, the beds are comfortable and the free breakfast is nicely varied. The hotel is a good alternative to staying in Swansea for visiting the Gower, and there's an excellent Indian restaurant ten minutes walk away.

Well placed friendly B and B

The outside as you pull up makes it look closed for business and it is in need of some tlc. Owner however was very friendly and showed us where we could park. Bed was comfy enough but the room really tired. The whole house stunk of smoke and there was an ashtray in the room so smokers obviously welcome! We don't smoke so found this off putting and left the windows wide open to get rid of the smell. There was a poky kitchen which we didn't explore as it was help yourself and do it yourself and there was a Toby carvery up the road. This is more a hostel but with an expensive price tag! 

Expensive B&B experience

The rooms are clean and the shower is very good. In the website is mentioned that full English breakfast is included, but it is not true, you have bread, jam and milk in the refrigerator to help yourself.

The price is very cheap and located conviniently near Cardiff

Basic and simple so called b&b only thing missing was the second b. Breakfast you can cook your own, if you remember to bring your own camping stove, no cooker only a microwave. There are cereals but who knows how long they have been sitting in the larder? 
The web page quotes 50 - 55 quid a room but on arrival we was charged 60! The shower was great and the use of the massage chair was ok. 
Overall I felt ripped off by been overcharged and suggest this b&b should be down graded to a hostel.

Over charged

Nice warm welcome. Nice bed but if you were expecting a cooked breakfast forget it. Breakfast consists of do it yourself cereal toast and marmalade tea and coffee. Oh and don't forget to do the washing up.
