I'd just like to say a huge thank you to both Norah and Ivor for their exceptionally friendly welcome at such a late hour and late booking.

It was really easy to park and had all the basic amenities that you'd require for a last minute emergency.

It is really well priced in comparison to other B&B's in and around stafford.

The breakfast was hearty and great start to the day.

This is a excellent guest house our room was clean an tidy and the king sized bed was very comfortable. 
The breakfast was spot on, all in all a very pleasant place to stay and we will certainly be returning.

Have stayed here quite a few times, although this is my first report.  Clean, tidy with a hearty breakfast, close to the town centre of Stafford it is what we both wanted in good location for us. We would stay here again, although Norah is thinking of retiring - it comes to us all!!

The family that run this B&B were very nice and helpful, letting us leave our bags in the room while we conducted business in town.  The room was basic but clean and well kept.  The full English breakfast was excellent.  It was served with a selection of home made jams.

Very last minute saviour

A Good Location

Economical B&B, pleasant host, good breakfast

A Little Gem.

We were welcomed by the lovely Norah Robinson, who obviously works very hard to generate environment with comfortable rooms, good food and the type of hospitality experience you don't mind paying. We booked 6 rooms for 2 nights for a weekend family reunion and wedding reception in Stafford. 

The room we stayed in felt grubby, possibly due to the old heavy dark carpet, had an smell of feet as you entered the room. But the refurbished bathroom was a definite thumbs up and I guess the same will be done of the bedroom. To be fair all the other rooms seemed much better in this respect and we would have been happy with our stay only for ..... 

Mr Robinson! I have travelled a lot countries, but never encountered anything as unpleasant as Mr Robinson. 

First morning we went to breakfast and tried to get out as fast as we could. Poured a half a bowl of cereal, refused coffee and ran as quick as we could. Mr Robinson aggressively mumbled and grumbled under his breath through clenched teeth. Unhappy with the number of people in the breakfast room. He made no attempt at hiding his dissatisfaction and came across as a bully. It was clear he couldn't cope with the volume of people the guesthouse catered for and found it easier to grimace rather than ask guests to perhaps come back in 2o minutes when there was more space in the breakfast area. Then myself and my 6 year son watched him have a tantrum in the kitchen with raised voices and clenched fist at Mrs Robinson. One guest passed comment about it being busy, to which Mr Robinson replied behind our backs 'too busy'. Happy to take our money but treated us with huge disrespect.

Second morning I dropped in 20 minutes before breakfast to place an order so as to take the pressure off. We got up earlier and went to breakfast avoid any tension. Mr Robinson grumbled if we wanted "coffee or tea" twice, by the time it took me to understand what was being said, he barked a third time "tea or coffee?" 
As father of two, I don't liking bullying behaviour and especially in front of children. So, I confronted him if we were inconveniencing him again in some way? I would have had more respect for him if he had of said 'yes', but no he put his head down and turned away.  

Sorry Norah for the negative feedback, but we have never had such a bad experience.
