Just spent a night here, great value room with en suite, host was very friendly and welcoming. English fry up breakfast was good also had cereals, toast, fresh fruit and yoghurts available. The location was great short walk from long stay car park and train station.

I had read early reviews and was alarmed as I had already booked. First of all it's a Guesthouse not an Hotel. The room we had 6 was spotlessly clean.Bed linen and towels freshly laundered. Lady in charge could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was well worth the price asked. Liked the extra touch you could have as much tea,sugar,milk,coffee as you wanted. All in all enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

The Lucroft is excellently situated in the center of Shrewsbury.  The staff are really friendly and the guesthouse is very clean, with tea and coffee making facilities. 

As you would expect from a central position it can be noisy at nighttime but it didn't spoil my sleep too much. 

All in all a lovely enjoyable stay.  I would definitely recommend this guesthouse and would definitely stay again!

Lucroft was comfortable, inexpensive and situated within easy walking distance of the town centre . Staff were obliging and helpful.  However we were in Room 6, adjacent to the corridor's fire door, and sleep quality was impaired.  Breakfasts were tasty though a bit Spartan.

Comfortable stop over

The hotel is up for sale and it shows. We had a family room. The carpet was grubby the room needed to be redecorated . There was a broken pane of glass in the window.The spare blanket was in a plastic bag on top of the cupboard and it was so dusty I could write on it. The ensuite was small and smelly. It was one of the worse places I've stayed. Very disappointed and not cheap £81  for 1 night b&b.
