The apartments are tastefully decorated and spacious enough for 2 (unsure if they have bigger rooms). A 20-30 minute walk from the town centre, where you’ll find lots to do. The area is quiet, so you’re guaranteed a good night sleep. Comfortable beds.

Completed via email, with full access information provided. Checkout is leave the key in the door and depart.

Room / facilities:
Room number 5 is a ground floor apartment at the rear of the complex, and initially can be a little challenging to locate in the mass of doors and hallways.
The apartment is spotlessly clean and spacious and has 1 queen bed, combined dining/lounge room, small but fully equipped kitchen with full oven and cooktop, microwave, utensils, cutlery, small bar fridge, the bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a comfortable queen bed with 4 pillows (2 very firm and 2 unsupportive).

There is no air conditioning however the rear sliding glass door and bedroom windows open to allow air flow. However during our visit the Salisbury weather was chilly, and heating was required.

Laundry: 
Self service laundry with 1 washers and 1 dryers is available for use by guests.   There is no instructions to indicate what each machine does,  or how to use the machines.

Parking:
Off street parking area on grounds is suitable for approx 6 cars. There are no lines to mark parking bays, meaning some cars may inadvertently take up 2 car spaces. 

Wifi:
Available.  Unit 5 has the best reception in the bedroom, the lounge room (at the rear) has very patchy poor signal.

Breakfast:
Some breakfast cereal items are provided.  

Conclusion:
Great quiet location comfortable accommodation.   

Letdowns:
Maintenance is poor, as the toilet seats moves, unit main entry door jams and needs to be slammed to close. 
The rear paved area is over grown with weeds.
There is only 1 remote control for 2x televisions.

The assist travellers, information is key to a great stay.
Instructions / clearer information is required for:
 - room directional signage, to assist with the location of  rooms in the mass of unmarked doors and hall ways,
- instant hot water shower, 
- laundry facilities,
- street address entry sign extremely hard to see and is overgrown with vegetation, 
- drive way entry fence is also overgrown with vegetation, making it challenging to reverse a car through to exit grounds.

Town is a short 10 min walk.

We go to Byways regularly and there is good reason for that, its really nice. The flats are spacious and are decorated, in a modern and clean-cut way, with the extra safety measures they are more spotless than ever.

The location is perfect, you can walk to the city centre, and cathedral in 10 minutes and there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance, you can also drive to the countryside in 10-15 minutes. 

The cost is good too, you will not get a better deal in Salisbury. I am planning my next trip already

We stayed in an apartment for two nights in the middle of June. It had everything we needed as a couple for a short visit. Very close to the city centre, yet quiet. Parking and close to takeaways and local shops. 
Very clean and easy check in on arrival.
The kitchen had a fridge , microwave and two ring hob.
The bed was comfortable with a TV and chest of draws.
I Would recommend this accommodation and stay here again if visiting Salisbury again.

Stayed for two nights whilst taking part in a cycling event. Stayed in one of the self catering apartments in the annexe building, beautifully appointed, comfortable bed, great bathroom with the most powerful shower I have yet come across! Ideal location for the city center only a short walk away. All in all a great stay, would stay again and recommend.
 

Yet another lovely stay at Byways. We go to Salisbury about 3-4 times a year and Byways is so good that we never think of staying anywhere else. It is always clean, and you can see that it is kept fresh. Everything you could want is there, it is comfortable and functional. 

The location is absolutely perfect, a 5 minute walk to Salisbury town centre, and within easy driving distance of the stunning Wiltshire countryside walks. It is doing friendly, the apartment we stay in usually, number two, even has a little patio where your dog can explore.

There is ample parking, just be careful pulling in as the turn is quite sharp, we have never had any problem getting a space.

All in all it is fantastic, we already have our next trip to Byways booked.


What can I really say about Byways that I have not said before? We go back to Byways 3-4 times a year for a reason, the place is delightful. The apartments are exceptionally well furnished, there is all the equipment you would need, and it is decorated to a high standard. The apartment is always cleaned well and spotless. 

Barbara goes out of her way to make your stay a good one and is the epitome of good hosts. The location is ideal for both Salisbury city centre and for the countryside in the vicinity, you cannot go wrong staying here

I stay at Byways as often as I can, and each time I remember why.

I arrived after an awful journey, from London, and let myself in, it was cold and raining outside, so I was glad to be inside. The apartment was lovely, spotlessly clean, well laid out and the furniture is really good quality.

The apartment is light and airy and has a small garden, ideal for my little dog who seems to think it is his right to come and go as he pleases, he also made himself comfortable and was very content to be back at Byways.

The apartment is very warm and there has clearly been a lot of thought put into making it comfortable and a place you want to stay. It is so nice that I did not mind at all that it was raining outside so we had to stay in, Milo and I just sat and chilled.

I honestly cannot recommend Byways highly enough, it is the perfect place to stay for Salisbury and exploring the surrounding countryside. In fact, I have started to look at my calendar to book my next weekend there.

We have stayed at Byways before but when it was a B&B, now it is apartments, so was not sure what to expect.

We arrived late due to the usual London traffic issues so were tired and ready to collapse, but felt refreshed when we walked in, the apartment is absolutely lovely. It is clean, a great size and fitted out to a really high standard. 

It is dog friendly and apartment 2 even has a terrace for Milo, who also loved the place and made himself very comfortable!

The facilities are on a kin to a 5 star hotel and Barbara really makes you feel at home, and is on hand should you need her.

Byways is perfectly situated for the city as well as car drives into the country, in fact you could not wish for a better location. It even has a car park.

I could not recommend Byways highly enough, in fact I have already booked my next visit.

In Salisbury for three days attending a training course I preferred to stay in an apartment rather than a hotel. Byways is a large property at the top of a driveway with ample car parking space. Once inside it is fresh and bright and the apartments are nicely furnished. I did not hear any of my neighbours. The bedroom was large and spacious with an en suite bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped and the large lounge beautifully furnished. There was a decent sized flatscreen TV in the lounge and another mounted on the wall in the bedroom. My bed was comfortable and the apartment warm. Byways is outstanding value for money and I would definitely stay there again.
