We were blown away with the comfort and attention we received, that we would not hesitate in recommending this beautiful place. Steeped in history with lovely gardens and close to attractions makes it an ideal break. The room was a good size, comfortable with an amazing shower! Breakfast was amazing that we didnt have to give lunch a thought. Absolutely wonderful

Luxurious crisp, white, cotton bedding on superb beds, calm, silent nights with only the birds to wake you. The charmjng hosts will make you very welcome and if peace is what you crave, that is delivered.Exquisite breakfast with home made granola, the freshest fruit salad accompanied by zesty limes soaked overnight in local honey to pour on your yoghurt, and that's just the start!Highly reccomended.

Our fourth visit, as enjoyable as the previous three. As always, a warm welcome; a different room this time, but just as charming, with a comfortable bed, a jar of delicious home-made flapjacks, and a very spacious bathroom (with the added attraction of watching the house martins swoop in under the eaves right outside the window); disappearing into the comfy huge sofas in the lounge; and of course, great breakfasts.

A friend and I enjoyed a fabulous stay here on a walking holiday in the Wye Valley.   This is a beautiful old house, but with modern plumbing, showers and heating.   Guy and Sheila are the most considerate hosts and the cooked breakfasts and teas with home-made cakes are to die for.   A magnificent place to stay.

Photos and the written word can only go so far as neither  can really convey how special Lower Wythall really is thanks to Guy and Sheila. They have created the most tranquil home, a prefect place to rest and relax.  
The beds were fabulous, and the breakfast was excellent.  We loved the homemade bread and jam, coffee with warm milk, and their attentiveness to our food allergies.  It was a joy to meet them both, and learn about their amazing home.

Just arrived home after two nights here. We have stopped at various Wolsey lodges in the past but have to say this is THE best. The owners (Sheila and Guy )are wonderful hosts.  A Fabulous period property with all the every day modern facilities. Local produce provides excellent breakfast fare cooked to perfection. We will certainly return. Highly recommended. 

Everything about our stay was wonderful.  Sheila and Guy are delightful hosts.  Their home is stunning, and our room was very comfortable.  Breakfast was delicious from the homemade yogurt and granola to the unique sausages from the local butcher, and the freshly ground coffee.  Sheila made an effort to get to know us and was ready to recommend many local sites along with maps and guides.  Also, Ross-on-Wye is a charming village with several excellent places for dinner.  Staying here was a highlight of our trip.

We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful B&B. Sheila and Guy are such warm and welcoming hosts. The house dates back to the 16th century with glorious heavy wooden beans and whitewashed walls. The fittings, shower, bath etc are top quality, and the breakfast is glorious. We can't recommend this place highly enough.

Such a lovely house a warm welcome and a great night sleep, this was a two night break so relaxing. Very close to Ross-on-wye we tried two Restaurant recommended by Guy and Sheila both fantastic, 
If you are looking to stay in somthing different from your usual hotel stay, I fully recommend Lower Wythall B&B

A fantastic B&B 

We were made very welcome by the owners and nothing was too much trouble. Very comfortable room with king size bed. Huge bathroom with everything you could want. We arrived late afternoon and were very kindly invited to have tea and cake in the residents sitting room. There is a large source of local information by way of books and pamphlets and the owners are a font of knowledge. Good pubs nearby for dinner. Can recommend The Mill Race just down the road. Breakfast was made to order to whatever you fancy with locally sourced ingredients and home made bread. We hope to visit the area again and look forward to staying at this beautiful house on another occasion.
