A terrific stay at the Crown New Year’s Day. Southwold is a very romantic little beach town. The room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay magical, giving us a free room upgrade and ensuring dining reservations were all in order. The complimentary beers and crisps were a nice touch and robes and toiletries were welcomed. The gorgeous beach is a 2 minute walk and a long walk prior to dinner built our appetite. Food was very good although portions were small this suited us as we went for 3 courses and therefore didn’t feel over full which we prefer. Reception staff at check in were lovely and took time out to show us around. Bar and restaurant staff also very friendly and professional. Breakfast offered good choices and set us up for another long walk prior to heading home. Wrapped up warm and hand in hand it was a perfectly lovely experience, as the beach is so pretty. We loved our stay here and provided a wonderful wind down after a busy festive season. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back
