Thank you for a superb evening on Friday/Saturday morning.
From the accommodation to the excellent dinner and lovely breakfast.
The staff and service was superb, from booking into the accommodation to the service at Dinner - very professional and extremely friendly.
we will definitely be back for both food and accommodation and look forward to visiting again early in the Autumn.

BTW the book is a great read as well - purchased one and half way through reading already!

Overnight stay and Dinner

My wife and I had the pleasure the stay here for one night on an extensive road-trip. What a wonderful place it was; in the middle of a Kent village in a lovely tranquil location. The room was not the largest but it was beautifully decorated and well equipped, with a great ensuite, tea and coffee and a fridge with fresh milk and bottled water. The bed was very comfortable and the silence of the night was only interrupted by the regular scream of a peacock and then at little after 3.30am a cockerel decided to join in, before a cat decided it was going to be left out. I'm not complaining: these were wonderful sounds and seemed to becoming from the nearby vicarage. And they were much more refreshing and welcoming that some of the human sounds one might hear in not so quiet area.
Breakfast, of the healthy, home-made type, was delivered to our room the next morning, and was delicious. 
We have stayed in some places in our 49 years of marriage and this was one of the most memorable and must say congratulations to the owner for keeping such a wonderful place up to standard.

Cosy, Relaxing, Peaceful and Simply Fantastic!

We stayed here for a couple of nights in May.  It is in a very quiet location. The room (Abbey suite) was large , as was the bathroom, and well equiped.  Fridge in the room with fresh milk and a large bottle of water, both changed daily.
Breakfast was served in the room (and not cooked) but delicious.  Freshly squeezed orange juice, home-made granola (the best) , strawberries, greek yogurt topped with a compote of rhubarb, pear, ginger and raisin, Home-made pain au chocolat (still warm) and toasted home-made bread.

The restaurant dowmstais is not cheap but the food is very good.
We would stay here again.

The New Inn, up the road in Minster, had good food.

Lovely room and restaurant

Party of 6  for Lunch 1pm April, 2019.    Not very busy and had the main restaurant part to to ourselves.ie could hold normal conversation at reasonable volume.       Lunches all perfecto the cottage pie was so generous diners were unable to complete the dish.     Soup was filling but sadly tad small portion but very tasty watercress.     Fish cakes combi were new to writer  being smoked haddock with warm tartare sauce great taste combination with garnish.   Service was excellant and attentive throughout...   The set lunch priced menu was a fair price and had adequate selection for all to choose what they liked with out going off-piste.    Portions adequate not economic sizes maybe soup just tad small.      Overall would certainly recommend.   Website  Pets seemed to be welcome upstairs by arrangement

Excellant Lunch - Mirrors sister restaurant in Canterbury

A visit to my daughter, under pressure from her moving to a new house in the depths of Kent. What more natural than Dad saying to daughter, let me take you out for lunch locally, perhaps the nearby pub for a sandwich? She suggested going about three miles down the road, the local pub didn't open its kitchen on a Tuesday so let's go round the corner to what used to be a tea room but now they do lunches. 
Wow!! and Wow!! again. A very pleasant young man, could have been a waiter but more probably Management with an interest? Talks us through the menu with a clear knowledge of what is being offered, a daytime deal for two or three courses, and having made our choices, the food arrives freshly cooked within moments, beautifully presented with some flair, great tastes (many places do pigeon??), main course of a chicke, ham and leak suet pudding (takes me back!!) lovely choice of fresh veggies and a very sensibly priced pichet of white wine that was a pleasure to quaff.
Overall, a really wonderful interlude, miles out of my normal compass but highly recommended to anyone who enjoys lunch. They are open in the evenings and have another branch in Canterbury. Ceretainly will be going again!!

A touch of magic, in the heart of the Kent countryside

Dinner with friends at this cozy quality inn was a superb experience. The passion of this chef shines through his dishes. Helped by a small brigade in the kitchen, the food they produce is clever, different and a delight. I would expect this chef will acheive the highest of accolades throughout his career. Overall the experiance was very good and the service was excellent.

Setting The Standard

Wonderful little hotel just outside the city gate of Canterbury. The attention we received from the staff was superb. They serve a delicious breakfast in your room and provide a good selection of teas and coffees. We had two bicycles with us and they went out of their way to keep them safe and convenient for us.

Well this was our third visit to the corner house and didn't fall short of our previous visits the pea panna cotta with broadstairs crab is a master piece well done chef its was very difficult not to choose the lamb for 2 again but we couldn't resist perfect in every way our son went for the children's menu roasted cauliflower soup followed by steak and triple cooked chips he asked for it rare and that's exactly how it was served perfect again what a children's menu well done the corner house we will be visiting again very soon

Early evening family meal

Great B&B, clean, comfortable room (if not a little overheated!), great staff. Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with slipper-style bath.The restaurant downstairs also has excellent food. Breakfast (continental) is also served in the room. Highly recommended.

Fantastic meal the food was really good and served with gin that completed the food served, very clever and a well thought out menu.
service was great when the food was served she explained the dish and how the gin was chosen and made to complement the dish .
It was good that the chief come out and went round and spoke to all the tables, great night and will be going back.
