Serena is a perfect host in a great property.  My room, The Copper Stag, was great and they had even arranged for there to be a clock tower right outside the window.  Terrific breakfast and good local tips which allowed me to walk across the road, order m fish and chips, and have them delivered into the Pub next door to be devoured with a few really good pints of stout - what more can a man want?

I was running the Offa’s Dyke national trail and decided to stop at Knighton at short notice. It’s a beautiful town. 

It was late in the evening and I was extremely tired. I made lots of attempts to arrange accommodation without success. Then I met someone who told me about  this place. I contacted the owner Selena who confirmed I could stay. It’s located right in the best part of Knighton right in the centre and yards from Offa’s Dyke National Trail so I soon arrived. 
She greeted me and invited me in. Chatted for a while, met her very nice husband and was shown my room. My room was large, lovely and quiet with a super big comfy bed. Everything was very very clean. 
Selena and her husband even arranged an onward taxi for me.

There is a great bar directly opposite too:-)

Thank you both for a lovely stay and being so friendly and helpful. 
I will definitely be making this place and Knighton my stopping point next time I’m on the Offa’s Dyke.

The food was lovely and the bed was so comfortable - could not fault it.

Stayed for a few days while enjoying the local countryside. Great place to get some reading and writing done: the room was comfortable and tastefully furnished, there are some great walks in the area, and the hostess (Lane) was incredibly accommodating! She made wonderful breakfasts, and was always ready with tea, coffee, or an interesting story! The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bath was hot and relaxing. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area!

My experience referenced that of the ramblingwhiterose to a degree.  I would suggest confirming booking ahead as when I arrived I wasn’t expected.  The owner had been very flexible in accepting my dog but when I arrived seemed rather flustered by him and asked if I’d be washing his feet, it was a very dry spell of weather!  Rather odd changes were made to the bedding and carpet as well.  I’d say it is overpriced for what is on offer and compared  other places I stayed at on Offa’s Dyke.   However, the room was very comfortable and clean and the breakfast excellent.  And when the owner relaxed she was fine.
