My wife and I stayed for three nights in March 2022.  Everything was fine ... good position, comfortable clean en suite room, great breakfasts and a very attentive host.  Highly recommended for  a trip to Penzance and all the surroundings of the beautiful Penwith peninsula.

We couldn’t rate this place and it’s owners enough.
The host Keith was amazing,  and his wife in the background cooking up a tasty breakfast was lovely each morning. 
Friendly, welcoming and we felt very at home for the week.
The room was clean and inviting and just what we needed. 
We will definitely be back again next year, as it’s the best b&b my husband and I have visited.

We stayed here on a little mini trip away and honestly it's one of the nicest guest houses I've ever stayed in. Right from the off we were pleasantly greeted and welcomed. The room we had was lovely. Due to covid the rooms weren't serviced daily but we could get fresh towels and stock up on tea and coffee very freely. 
The couple running Glen Afton where truly lovely and the breakfasts they provide where A plus. If ever we visit Penzance again I have no doubt I will be returning to Glen Afton. Thank you for a wonderful stay. 

This is definitely the best guesthouse we have stayed in. Keith was the perfect host, chatting to us every day whilst practicing social distancing and telling us all the local recommendations and stories. The bedroom and bathroom were lovely and clean with comfortable beds and a good selection of hot drinks that were replenished when required. Breakfast every morning was tasty and Keith would help us plan our day. I cannot praise this place enough and want to thank Keith and Carol for their excellent hospitality and helping us have a brilliant stay with you!

We stayed at Glen Afton for 2 nights on our recent 13 night tour of Cornwall.

What a gorgeous b&b. We were met with a lovely welcome from Keith and were shown to our fabulous room which we were absolutely blown away with. So much space and decorated beautifully with a lovely comfortable seating area in the bay window. Spotless too. Just lovely.

The full cooked breakfast was a real joy. Just the right portion size of everything and very good quality ingredients.

We enjoyed Penzance. There are a good choice of pubs and restaurants (I can recommend Thai Moon which is literally on the doorstep). Parking is on street but free and safe. There are some fabulous walks too. Catch the bus to Lamorna (from the same street as the b&b) and walk back from there.

We really relaxed here and this is much to the credit of this lovely b&b. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The Glen Afton is ideally located in Penzance, a short walk to the Promenade, and to the town centre, also it is only 5 minutes off the A30, plenty of street parking with no restrictions. The room was very good, tea and coffee supplied. Keith the host was brilliant, reminisced with my wife over how Cornwall had changed over the last 60 years as my wife spent all her childhood holidays in Marazion and Penzance. Food was very good, social distancing practised so all in all a must place to stay.

This is a really lovely place to stay in Penzance.  Our room was very comfortable and  absolutely spotless.  In a good location. Very helpful host.  All you could want!   Would stay here again without hesitation.

We arrived at Glen afton to a very warm welcome. The owner was a very nice man with loads of local knowledge, he was very helpful as we planned our day activities over a super cooked breakfast each morning. Will definitely like to return to see the things we missed. There is loads of things to do around the area with very beautiful views and things to do. 

                 We arrived at the glen afton after a long 8 hour drive from the east Midlands, I was warmly met by Keith, ( using social distancing ) and we quickly got thou the necessaries, rules etc. 
          With this done I was shown to our room (No4), it very clean with a double bed plus a single, there was plenty of space for the both of us to hang our clothes and store our possessions, the ensuite was gorgeous, exceptionally clean with a shower consisting of a rainforest shower head plus a small standard head, our room was on the front, so we had a good view of the road.
            Morning breakfastes were a joy, with cereals, a good fry up (kindly cooked by Carol), toast and plenty of coffee, with this inside us it certainly kept us going though the days walk.
            Both Keith and Carol are a fabulous hosts, nothing is to much trouble and we both found their friendship honest and pure. Also they both know the local area very well and gave us plenty of tips and local info.
            If you are looking for somewhere to stay, so you can explore the lower parts of Cornwall then I truly recommend the Glen Alfon.


Keith and Carol did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The breakfast was amazing, with a choice of Full English, cereals and continental options. The rooms were very pleasant, clean and tastefully decorated, with very comfy beds! Parking on the street outside was not a problem, and the location of the B&B was excellent - a lovely tree lined avenue a short walk from the promenade. All Covid precautions were scrupulously followed.

Welcoming and comfortable

I stayed with my partner and his 9 year old son for two nights. Keith was very welcoming to all of us and gave us lots of advice regarding the local area. The room was beautiful, the small touches were appreciated and it was incredibly clean. The bed was comfortable and we slept really well. For breakfast, there was plenty of choice. In addition to it being a brilliant B&B experience, it felt very safe regarding COVID. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

A wonderful stay!

We stayed overnight at Glen Afton B  & B in Penzance, which is a beautiful town.  We had an ensuite room at Glen Afton, which is a beautiful place to stay and Keith and Carol Richards, out hosts,were delightful - helpful, friendly and informative on nearby places to visit.We highly recommend this B & B.
