237 reviewsI spent a week with Gail and Alex at their beautiful property very close to Edinburg and near my Scottish relatives in Livingston. This is not an ordinary b and b... It is very luxurious and the breakfast was delicious! Gail is so warm and friendly. Alex is very funny and we got on really well with them both. I was traveling with my daughter, sister n law and my 85 year old mother. We had terribly cold weather in Scotland and it was so nice to rest in a beautiful home with amazing beds, showers and the most perfect Scottish Breakfast I have ever had. Gail makes eggs like no one , and Alex turned me on to porridge and accommodated my American desire for great coffee and a good laugh. They were especially sweet to my Mum. One day she rested at their place while we had a full day touring the city. Alex offered to heat up a lunch for her , had a little chat and brought her a lovely piece of cake. They called her Mum and treated her as if she was apart of their family. I am very grateful to them for that and will stay with them every time I visit Edinburg in the future. Thank you again Gail and Alex! If you're ever in Washington DC lets have a laugh! Vanessa
