My two sisters and I decided to take a short break for a few days on the edge of Dartmoor and found Lovaton Farm had good reviews and welcomed dogs - we have a big black curly coated retriever. It was a good choice and we had a wonderful four days on the moors, catching up with old friends and enjoying some very good meals in local pubs and restaurants. We started each day with a good cooked breakfast which meant we didn't need to have lunch and could work up an appetite for an early dinner. Jane and her husband and family were busy running the working farm and developing new amenities for their B&B, yet Jane still found time to be welcoming, friendly and helpful with local knowledge. The rooms were very comfortable with a bath and shower and we all slept very well. They produce their own apple juice which is delicious. Glad to recommend it. And there was a magnificent hare sitting by the verge to welcome us home most nights!
