The Old Stables

The barns we had were absolutely perfect. Spotlessly clean and in a beautiful location close to Market Rasen racecourse. Tastefully decorated with everything we needed for our short stay, including a dishwasher and a washing machine. It was a lovely touch to find milk, butter and breakfast croissants in the fridge. Highly recommended.

This converted stable block is fantastic. Everything is provided except food and drink. All utensils are of good quality and the appliances are clean and modern.
Very nice bathroom with a large shower. Its also very quiet. 

Upon arriving at the old stables we were met & welcomed by Tracy & her husband. The arrival was warm & welcoming & we could already see that the property oozed class and history.  The land is very well maintained and really really is a beautiful place to be. 

Upon walking into our little barn, straight into the kitchen which the photos & advertisements don't do any justice at all. It's open, spacious and very practical.  Literally everything is included, pots, pans, cutlery, mixers, you name it, it's here. All we had to do was buy our food and drinks. There really hasn't been a penny spares. The cupboards are wood to match the rest of the land & barn which personally I love. 

The living area is perfect.  Quite a lot bigger than it looks in the pictures. Recliner sofa too.  Again a beautiful, solid wood coffee table which fits perfectly with all the wood of the barn. There's Tv with built in free view. We personally only really watch TV on a night. But it's a lovely space & ideal for a cuddly night on the sofa. 

The bedroom is perfect. Not too big nor too small. Bedside tables, again wooden to fit with the rest of the barn, on both sides of the bed, night lamps and space for a phone charger. The bedding & curtains are of high quality. Plenty of storage for clothes in the form of classic wooden furniture. 

The en-suite, again, pics do not do it justice. Bigger than it looks. Finished to a high standard. 

Overall, if you like class, comfort and style. This place is perfect. Comfortable living in a beautiful piece of history. Pitch black at night and absolutely silent. Really is perfect. 

Tracy and her husband are also lovely hosts and happy to help with anything and always at hand.

We stayed at The Old Stables for 4 days and could not have been any happier.

The Owner was lovely and greeted us warmly and the rooms, well, they were brilliant.
Spotlessly clean and massive. 

The bed was so comfy and I slept like a log.

The location is also spot on, not far from a number of main roads, but far enough away so that you could not hear a thing, Except for the pigeons ;)

Stayed here for one night with my partner and I couldn't fault anything.

> Owners were very inviting whilst cooking a delightful breakfast in the morning. Whoever cooks those full English breakfasts know what they're doing!
> Ideal location on the edge of the wolds. Walk out of the room and it is 1 minute before you are walking upon the wolds and enjoying the fresh air.

My wife and I booked The Old Stables because we wanted to stay at a B&B with character-The Old Stables fitted the bill, perfectly. The end room, though rather dark ,(this did not really matter, as we were outmost of the time),was very comfortable. Amanda and Peter were the perfect hosts, and we enjoyed talking to Peter, in particular, about the local area. Amanda cooked lovely scrambled eggs for breakfast , which was served at our convenience. We had a 2 mile walk to The King`s Head  at Tealby (the oldest thatched pub in Lincolnshire), where we had a lovely evening meal, and a taxi ride back! We enjoyed our stay.
