Milsoms Kesgrave Hall

I just felt I had to do a review as soon as I was back as our stay was literally perfect and faultless. I found this hotel last minute and only booked in the morning for that evening through booking.com and so pleased I did. The hotel is in stunning well kept grounds and first impressions were lovely. Upon checking in, we were offered a welcome drink and told everything we needed to know. Our room was in the gatehouse which is about a 5 minute walk from the main hotel but right near the entrance gate. It is very modern and new and there are 4 individual rooms within the building. We were located in number 33 and it was gorgeous, very tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. I was also so happy to discover we had a lovely roll top bath. The bathroom was huge and again very tastefully decorated. We had robes and also milk and water in fridge. Lovely outlook too and so peaceful, hearing the birds sing. Only issue we had was figuring out the tv but we just watched Netflix in the end. The restaurant is lovely at the hotel and not at all stuffy, really relaxed and staff were brilliant. The food was just absolutely delicious and could not fault one thing, we throughly enjoyed it all and felt great value for money. Cocktails were also amazing. Breakfast the next day was the best we have ever had, again staff were brilliant, friendly and very helpful. Amazing selection and always topping up. You could also order an item from the menu too. All staff we came across were brilliant. The only slight negative for us was having to pay so much extra to use the spa, we would have liked to but could not justify the extra £60 per couple to do this, shame it's not either included even if just for a couple of hours or is slightly cheaper. It did look lovely but there does appear to only be a hottub, sauna and relaxation area and sunbeds. Just felt it was a bit steep for that. But overall could not fault and will 100% be back!
