Brilliant place to stay. We’re here for two nights. On second night now. Room nice and airy close to reception and one of the rooms furthest from the pub. Very quite from outside noise at night just how we like it. Where we live you could hear a pin drop at night, oh and blackout curtains too. Room was made up when we got back from a busy days sightseeing in central London, and tea/coffee etc replenished. Breakfast was excellent, served quickly and freshly cooked unlike some places that have self serve buffet breakfasts which can sometimes be a bit disappointing. Nice big television plenty of lighting and a mini bar if you want. But with a pub attached we didn’t. Getting to London was quick and easy too. Turn left out the front door and a five minute walk to Clapham Common on the northern line. Straight into London basically. We didn’t bother buying a day ticket as it was cheaper to use our contactless visa cards. Apparently according to our walking app we covered 10 miles and it was easier to walk than get the tube and miss various places of interest. Saying that, we do have two lively cocker spaniels back home so walking is a way of life for us. Oh and if you like the theatre check out Kinky boots at the Adelphi it’s about a shoe factory that....well check it out, it’s a good one.
