Hill House Riverview Apartment

My son and I have just got back from our week at Hill House and we were both quite sad to leave the place. The house itself is absolutely full of character and has been furnished incredibly tastefully. Lots of quirky touches here and there and you can tell that somebody has put a lot of thought into it without just throwing a load of money at it and ruining it. We were greeted at the door by the owner Lance who is one of those laid back people that instantly puts you at ease. There was none of the preciousness that you can sometimes get from owner/managers, just "this is your room, that's the bathroom and here's the kitchen", absolutely perfect! Chatting to Lance was like talking to an old friend, if he's not a therapist of some sort already he really should be. Our room was clean and spacious as well as having everything we needed. Finally the view from our huge bay window was just perfect. A beautiful view of the estuary and the castle. The area itself is idyllic and very relaxing. It felt like we'd stepped back in time after coming from the city where we live. Peaceful and full of lovely, friendly people. I was a little worried that it might all be a little too peaceful for my 8 year old but he loved the place. He loved the huge sandy beach, exploring the castle and dinners at the pub. He insisted on adding to my review "Wow the view is completely amazing and the fashion is lovely! We HIGHLY Recommend this lovely place!!!So If you go here I'm sure you will enjoy it!:)"
