Staying just a short walk away we visited on Sunday afternoon after walking the dogs in the local area, the pub was quite after the lunchtime rush but we were welcomed by a lovely roaring fire and a very friendly server, after a couple of pints and a chat with some other guests that were staying in the B&B we left. We then returned on Monday evening for a meal, again we were met with a very friendly welcome, this time from the owners daughter, she showed us to our table and brought our drinks over to us. The food was absolutely gorgeous, we were served quickly but didn’t feel rushed at all. We had starters, main and pudding and devoured every crumb of it. The pub is very dog friendly and we would definitely recommend and return if we’re in the area again.
