I have stayed here numerous times in the last couple of years and for a room there is nowhere better and the bed is so comfortable. I’ve been in every room and each one is unique but each is fantastic.

The rooms are situated above a restaurant but never heard any noise from there or the street outside despite being a 1 minute walk to the high street.The room was very clean and everything looked new

Had a great stay at the Albero! Excellent service and very friendly and welcoming team. Will certainly go back! Great central location with a lovely view of the river.

Cannot fault our stay at Alberto Rooms...super easy check in...friendly staff...stunning room...with everything we needed....beautiful view of the river...comfy bed...peaceful and quiet...roll top bath in the bedroom was awesome too...will deffo stay again when we're that way. The restaurant was so good too....quirky decor...easy to use qr code ordering at table...yummy food....chilled out atmosphere.

An absolute pleasure staying in this beautiful hotel.Within walking distance of my work as a contract practitioner.Easily recommended.

Room was amazing and loved the river view. Only things we would change are the noisy pipes and headboard!

I had a wonderful stay at the Albero Lounge, the staff were welcoming and friendly. Room 3 is stunning, with an amazing view of the river.I loved the attention to detail, from the roll-top bath to the quirky decor, the vintage lighting and the plentiful supply of refreshments. The bed was so comfortable and I slept peacefully.Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely welcome by the guy on the bar, showed me to my room. Room was spacious and bed was comfy. Bathroom was nice and clean. Reading the reviews I’m surprised that no one mentioned it before, but I was in the room which the cheetah wallpaper, there were 7 individual windows all with blinds, so each window had to have the blinds pulled. The hotel is on the market square which is surrounded by lights so at night time, the blinds do not fully cover the window so I felt like I was in a church with all the light coming through. In the morning, trying to get ready there is no main light in the room and the cheetah wallpaper makes the room very dark. I had high hopes for this one but not sure id stay again.

Peaceful vintage retreat in Bedford.

A nice hotel with a good, central location. Quirky but nicely decorated and furnished rooms. I couldn't get the heating to work in my room, so found it a bit chilly in the evening.The biggest drawback from my perspective was that breakfast isn't served until 09.00, which is a bit late if you're travelling for business or have onward travel plans.

Nice hotel

I stayed in deluxe room with river view and that's exactly what it was! It was beautifully decorated, designed, totally clean and sooo comfortable in every way. An excellent hospitality tray too, with a cafetière as well. The location is right by the river but I didn't have my car so parking wasn't an issue for me. I did see a couple of car parks nearby however. I really enjoyed my stay, the room was a joy, and I would most definitely return.

Excellent stay!

We had a great welcome and were allowed to check in early to our lovely riverside room. It’s got lots of character with a bath in the bedroom and separate bathroom and the views are nice. Staff were excellent and we also had a lovely breakfast downstairs. We will be back later in the year for a family party!

Fantastic place to stay

Room & Venue it self was fine however the initial greeting was shocking. If it wasn't for the fact we had a room and we had stood so long waiting for service just for food i would have walked away. This was the same for the initial arrival & for when we came down for food. Then the confusion over payment since we decided not to pay via hotels.com just seemed to confuse the staff completely.

Lovely but reception from staff needs improvement

My wife and i stayed in a beautiful Riverside room which seemed refurbished within last 3 years. We were in the area for a wedding and this hotel was a superb boutique feeling option instead of a more generic Premier Inn. The super king bed and Cotton sheets felt very luxurious, as did the roll top Bath. Breakfast we paid extra from the pub downstairs. it  had lots of options available and a really good app for ordering. The rain shower in the bathroom was also a great treat. Eco score lower as the room was very warm and seemingly no way of changing this.

Great couples night away from the kids

This is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are very highly-specified with high quality furniture and materials. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in for a long time. The rooms are quite dark - the decoration is dark and the lighting is low. This leads to an interesting mood in the room, which I found relaxing, but the option of a brighter light to do any reading or work would be nice.In my room, the darkness was enhanced by the fact that not all the lights worked.Two reading lights above the bed did not work, one of the bedside lamps did not have a bulb, and the lamp on the desk/dressing table did not work. This is my only complaint.The shower was a hot, high-pressure walk-in rain type, and the biggest bath I've seen was in the room. I loved the leather chair and the space in general. The room was quiet despite being above/beside the pub area.I've re-booked for next week, and will probably not look at another hotel in Bedford - loved it.
